Sunny Fields & French Braids (Solangelo)

Will was excited to finally go on a date with Nico. Both of them had been to busy cleaning up after the war, limiting their alone time severely. They weren't going to do anything big, neither had the energy, just a simple picnic in the strawberry fields. It didn't take them long to eat the small amount of food he managed to sneak away from lunch, they ended up laying down on the large blanket Nico brought and caught up on recent events. Nico was in the middle of grumbling about how it was "too early" even though it was well after 2 p.m and how "the sun was blinding him" when Will sat up and leaned closer. "Will, what..." "Can I braid your hair ?" He saw Nico's whole body tense, he was close enough to feel the heat coming off of Nico's face as he blushed. "Y-You wanna do what ?" Will chuckled "I want to braid your hair, Neeks" he restated, even using his favorite nickname for the son of Hades. He pulled Nico into his lap before he could protest, his back against Will's chest. Nico's hair was just long enough to put in a french braid, it took longer than expected to place small flowers into the braid without them falling out. After he was finally done, they headed back to camp for dinner. Both of them were surprised by how long they spent in the fields together. He managed to convinced Nico to keep the braids in, by some miracle, allowed Will to show him off to the Apollo table. All of his siblings were impressed by his handy work, Nico turned red as a tomato (or a strawberry) under all the attention and compliments given to him. Though Nico would never admit to it, Will knew he secretly loved it. But that didn't stop him from getting his revenge. A week later, Will woke up with his hair in braids. He must have used some beauty magic, which he suspected might have been Pipers doing, as well because they had been made so it was impossible for him to take them out.
