Annabeth went to bed really late, so did Percy. All of the seven, plus Nico and Will, had sat by the campfire until at least 2:00 a.m. Jason was the first one to leave, suggesting the others do the same, after noticing that some of them were starting to drift off. Percy being the gentleman he was, carried her to his cabin, she was too tired to protest. Annabeth knew their friends would tease them later if she stayed the night in Percy's cabin, but it would have been hard to sneak her into Athena cabin without waking up one of her half-siblings. He gently placed her on one of the bunks, the one closest to his, she fell asleep the second her head hit the pillow. A couple hours later, the sound of Percy shuffling around the room managed to temporary awaken her. Percy quickly noticed "Sorry, didn't mean to wake you, wise girl." He pushed some of her blonde hair out of her face and kissed her forehead "You should go back to sleep, it's only 8:00 a.m." Annabeth wanted to object but knew that he was right. So she buried her face back into the pillow, breathing in the ocean sent that was standard in the Poseidon cabin. The last thing she heard before falling back asleep was the sound of Percy getting into the shower, which had been recently installed thanks to Chiron allowing campers to have their own bathrooms. It must have been a little after 2:00 p.m when she woke up once more, this time for good. She looked around to see if Percy was there, but didn't see him. Annabeth figured that he was most likely around camp somewhere, that was until she noticed the shower was still running. She looked at the clock next to the bed Percy slept in, it was 2:30 p.m. Percy had stepped into the shower around 8:00 a.m. Has he been in there for six hours ? "Percy ? Are you okay ?" She knocked on the door lightly, to avoid startling him. No answer, she knocked on the door harder "Hey, seaweed brain. Are you still in there ?" Worry began to set in when once again, there was no answer. Did he slip and accidentally knock himself out ? Could that even happen, he is the son of Poseidon after all. "Hey, Percy. I'm coming in, you better be decent." she opened the door. The curtain still covered him, he hadn't noticed her yet. The water must have covered all of the noise, he seemed to be out of it. "Percy !" A loud yelp left him before a loud thud. She had made him slip and, as if to confirm it, a low pained groan filled the room. "What the Hades, Annabeth ?" he reached out to grab a towel from behind the curtain "Sorry...I thought maybe you...I knocked and...You've been in here for six hours." He stepped out in a dark blue towel and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly "I guess I didn't notice." Annabeth looked at him with disbelief "You didn't notice that you've been in the shower for six hours ? How could you not notice ?" he shrugged. "Well, anyway. I need to get dressed. So can you..." he pointed at the door. It finally set in that she was standing in front of a mostly naked Percy. "Oh, Yeah. I'm just going to..." she rushed out of the room, ignoring Percy's laughter when he saw the prominent blushing on her cheeks. Later that day, Piper managed to get the details out of her, she had seen Annabeth leave Percy's cabin blushing harshly. Piper told Jason when he asked what she was smiling about, he told Nico, who told Hazel, who told Frank, who told Leo, and he told basically the rest of the camp. By dinner time, everyone in Camp Half-Blood knew that children of Poseidon took really long showers.
