There I was, standing all alone in the "weeaboo" aisle as my friends had called it. There, I clutched harshly at the latest volume of Black Clover. As my shaking fingers flipped to the last page, I was immediately left on a dreadfully painful cliffhanger.

'To Be Continued...' It had read.

My eye twitched as I traced the paper, feeling it's soft and smooth texture of beaten down wood. I let out a calm but heavy breath and slowly closed its contents, bringing the back cover face to face with its other half's once more. I closed my emerald eyes and rested the firm, pure-smelling fore edge up on my upper lip.

One of those book clerks immediately came up to me as soon as I had closed the book. "Miss? Are you finished? We'll be closing in ten min-"

"ArE yoU fuCKING KiDDiNG mE?!" I had screeched at the top of my poor forsaken lungs.
My voice cracked as I y̶e̶e̶t̶e̶d̶ threw the fresh volume at the bookshelf, resulting in it knocking over and starting a chain reaction. When in the holy shitu did my arm actually have strength?

Needless to say I was kicked out almost immediately. I was met with very unpleasant words on the way out as well. "NEVER COME BACK!" They had yelled at me before slamming the door with brute angered strength that had shaken the building.

I sighed obnoxiously loud and pouted dramatically despite my lack of an audience.
"Damn, that was tough." I commented absentmindedly, crossing my arms. I tapped my foot and looked around, seeing a nearly empty parking space. "It's already dark out...?"

I groaned and got out my phone and began to dial my dear ol' brother who probably just had yoga class with old ladies.

"Heya! Aeron can't come to the phone right now! Call me later, mwuah!"

My eye twitched once more at his overwhelmingly embarrassing and just overall cringy voicemail. I growled in irritation and just began to walk. My house is near enough, I reasoned to myself.

Plus, I needed to work off this anger anyways. Besides, my house doesn't have enough furniture to smash, so I'll just do this instead.

The latest volume had revealed a traitor, William Vangeance's other soul, Patri. It ended off with the death of the Wizard King too! Done by William's possessed body no less! A side of his face was crying! That just makes more icing on the bittersweet angsty cake called 'hot ones are usually the traitors.'

As I made my way farther away from Barnes & Nobles, I didn't notice one of my shoelaces were untied. I was currently too occupied with ranting angrily to myself making occasional passing humans look at me weirdly to notice.

My steps staggered as I stepped on one of the loose shoelaces on the opposing foot.

Oh.

So, this is why you should always tie your shoes.

Fuck.
