It's Christmas Eve and my cousin, Mila, and her boyfriend arrived 3 days ago. Mila's son, Ivan isn't too bad. Along with music and poetry he also seems to have an obsession of googly eyes. My uncle (?) isn't too bad either, his name is Dune. He's really nice, a bit too nice, but at least he isn't trying to get me to do everything.

Oh well, Christmas is tomorrow and like the previous 5 years I'll get nothing except more work, which I don't mind. Oh well, at least I got to meet Ivan and Dune. I don't think I'm going to be writing in here for another week or so unless something major happens.'

I finished up working in my diary and changed while my cousin was sleeping. Ivan slept in a sleeping bag next to my bed since the guest room was being used by Mila and Dune. I gently nudged Ivan to see if he would wake up since it was nearly 10 in the morning.

"Ivan, it's 9:56. You should get up and change, you could work on that haiku you're making for tomorrow," I suggested. He just groaned in response.

"I don't wanna get up," he dragged out the 'up'.

"Well you're going to have to eventually, plus I'm making some eggs and hash browns for breakfast!" I tried bribing him.

He opened his eyes this time, "With cheese?"

I chuckled slightly, actually getting to like my cousin, "Yes, with cheese."

This got him up quickly, I left the room for him to have some privacy and start making breakfast. I had gotten nearly everything I needed, except the hash brown mix from the pantry, because I was too short. I saw Dune getting some water so I went over to him.

"Hey, um, Dune, do you think you could get the hash brown mix from the pantry? I can't reach," I asked the taller man.

He chuckled, "Yeah of course, Ter."

He had developed the nickname Ter for me. I was fine with it, but he was the only one allowed to use it.

I thanked him after he got the box down. I started on breakfast and while everything was cooking, I grated the cheese.

"Ivan, can you help set the table?" I shouted towards my room.

I saw him jogging to the cabinet grabbing out plates and forks. I brought the hash browns and eggs to the table, setting them down. Nearly everyone has already made their way to the table, grabbing cups in the way.

"Breakfast is ready guys," I said loud enough for the whole house to hear.

Soon enough, everyone had made their way to the table and started eating. I made sure to get my food last so my family could get what they wanted first.

Around noon I asked if I could take Ivan to meet my friends, Dullra and Alejandro. "Eh? Sure, just don't get him in trouble." Mila said.

She didn't care about me, she just wan to keep her son safe. I really hate life sometimes. We walked over to Alejandro's house since they were most likely both there. Alejandro's house was where we generally met up.

I knocked on the door and waited a couple seconds, hearing footsteps on stairs. The for clicked and opened, revealing Dullra.

"Hey, Terrance, who is that with you?" She asked.

"Oh, this is my cousin Ivan," I gestured to him.

Dullra smiled, "Nice to meet you Ivan, I'm Dullra!" She opened the door the rest of the way and we entered.
