Dill ki baat zara tu sunna,
Waqt ki ehemiyat samajhna,
Aye mere kal tu mujh jaisa na banna.
Apne khayalat khul kar zaheer tu karna,
Unhe kitaabon me dafnaye na rakhna,
Kisi ka dill na tu dukhana,

Listen, don't become like me,
Listen to your heart a bit,
Understand the importance of time,
O! My future don't become like me.
Try to express your emotions clearly,
Don't hide them in the niche of your diary,
And never ever broke one's heart mistakenly,
O! My future don't become like me.
