Thanks my fellow readers for being so patient with me, i had just finished The Lunar Chronicles and i was obsessing over it so.. ill try and make this long for u! Btw its almost ending!
Katie POV:
I was trying to find a armour that was protective and stylish at the same time, when someone banged on the cabin door. I went up and opened it to find a panting Travis leaning on the doorframe. What a drama king.
"What's up Travis? Shouldn't you be getting ready to join the attack?"
"Sh-she made i-it up." He panted.
"Who Mary?" i was incredibly confused and Travis was making this like a guessing game.
Travis didn't respond but just looked at me. His eyes faded slightly and he collapsed on the spot.
"TRAVIS" I screeched. "TRAVIS!!"
I tried to pull him up but he was to heavy.
"SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! SOMEONE!"
A few campers looked out of there cabin windows and started to jump through them or run to the door. All sorts of campers came over and surrounded us pulling us apart and taking a unconscious Travis away.
"NO TRAVIS NO!" I tried to pull away but the Ares kids had a good grip.
"Shhhh it's ok their going to take him to the infirmary." cooed a camper, who kept rubbing my arms in a embrace. I started crying as the Apollo kids came and rested a mat down before lowering him onto the floor.
"TRAVIS! LET ME GO HE'S RIGHT THERE LET ME GO!!!!!" I kept screaming. I didn't know what was going on besides the fact that i needed to be at his side immediately. The world was a blur and the last thing i saw was a Apollo camper coming up to me with a needle, and sticking it into my arm. Then darkness.
-------------------------------------------------------LINE BREAK---------------------------------------------------------
I opened up my eyes cautiously ,squinting, and smelled a overwhelming scent of flowers. I ran my hands over the bottom surface. Wait. That's weird. The ground was so soft and when i stretched my arms out it seemed like there was no end to the softness. I propped myself up on my elbows and took in my surroundings.
Mom, was my first thought when i scanned the surroundings. There were flowers growing sky high at the sides with occasional pollen drifting over the sides. Trees of all species were dotted around, in-between flowers, other plants and- oh. In the centre of the beautiful paradise was a waterfall with the sound of only a trickle of water instead of mounds of water falling from Olympus. Around the waterfall smooth surfaced rocks sat, and at the bottom of them, bluebells grew. On one of the rocks, herself, sat Demeter.
"Mom?" I whispered. I got up from the bed of grass and made my way over to her.
My mother turned around when she heard me approach, and smiled lightly.
"Hello Katie. Sit down dear."
I plopped myself on a rock and was hypnotised by the lilies ,dotted around in the water, floating about.
"Where am i?"
My mother looked up and sighed.
"Why do you think?"
I stared at her and looked back curiously.
"Well Katie, the reason why i have brought you here is because you have been having problems and i have decided to step in, and help you pull yourself out of a mind of jealously and despair."
"Is this a dream?" The response didn't really connect too what she had just said but i could have cared less. My mother rolled her eyes.
"Yes Katie, this is a dream. Now lets get back to the subject at hand."
"This is going to be about Travis isn't it."
My mother nodded and stood up making her way into the middle of the water. She beckoned me forward and i scrambled after her. She then proceeded to swipe her hands over the water and play old memories of me and Travis. The day when we met, the days when i would run after him and his brother screaming my head off and the happier ones, where we would sit at the beach and just talk. The memories started when i was just about 11 and finally finished when the present day memories were, when i was 16.The last scene was when Travis collapsed and when i was screaming hysterically. I wiped my wet cheeks and whimpered a bit. I looked up and met my mothers eye.
"Why are you showing my this?"
"Because Travis has made a impact on your life and not just romantically. The wars and the first time you came to camp. He helped you though your first crush-"
" Michael died!" I wailed.
"-and other situations that you couldn't pull though without his support."
"And? He barley spends time with me and when he does, Mary is always with him!"
My mothers gaze softened a bit. She faced me and tucked a strand of hair behind my face.
"Katie, I understand you sister had lied and deceived you and she has Travis as a boyfriend, but believe it or not Travis isn't happy."
I looked up at her in shock. My mother smiled and continued.
" And this time he can't do it alone. He needs you help even though he won't express it."
"Mom, how?"
"I'm a god, and in touch with Aphrodite." She said and smiled.
"Mother.. what if he doesn't love me back?"
" He will don't you worry. And whatever you do, do not try and physically hurt you sister."
I nodded
"Alright I'll try. And mom? Thanks"
Demeter smile.
"Now go save you prince." She said and dunked my head in the water.
