"We should talk about that."
Nick blushed, eating another bite of cake. "I don't know what you mean."
Jeff knocked their shoulders together. "You so do."
"Well, there's not much to talk about. I kissed you because I've always wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, and I finally figured out why. It's not just because you're my favorite person. It's because I like you," Nick admitted, blush deepening.
Jeff's cheeks tinted pink. "I like you too. I really don't want to mess this up."
Nick took another bite of cake, thinking it over. "Well, my family loves you. Your family loves me. Both of our families know we're gay and support us. We're definitely going to be in each other's lives, no matter what happens. Nothing really changes, we're still friends, we just kiss and stuff sometimes."
"And stuff?" Jeff asked, raising an eyebrow.
Nick reddened. "You know what I meant."
Jeff laughed. "Just messing with you. I see what you mean. Do you think it's worth it?"
The dark-haired boy bit his lip. "Do you?"
He answered him with a kiss.
