"There's new dorm assignments?" Nick asked in surprise, looking at the papers posted on the wall.
"I mean, there's a lot of transfers this year and new freshmen. They had to put more people to a dorm," someone he didn't know said.
He nodded, frowning as he found Jeff's name. They weren't in the same dorm.
He moved on to find his, which looked like it was either next door or across the hall from Jeff's. That wasn't too bad. He didn't recognize most of the names in either of their dorms.
He knew the Smythe kid, since he'd transferred halfway through last year. He was pretty sure that David was on the Warblers council.
"New rooms?" He looked over, seeing Jeff beside him.
He frowned. "We're not in the same dorm, but they're right next to each other."
Jeff hooked his arm around Nick's waist. "If I said I'd die from lack of vitamin Nick would they let us switch?"
Nick laughed. "You'll live, Jeff. You can see me every second we're not sleeping or in class."
"We had better have the same schedule!"
He laughed again. "C'mon, rooms forty-five and -six. It's this way."
They walked to their new dorms, Jeff still pouting. "They can't just do that. We're supposed to be in the same dorms."
"Jeff, if they put everyone who said that in the same dorms, the rooming situation would be a mess. Everyone would just end up in one giant dorm."
He sighed. "I guess. We've always been in the same dorm, though. It's weird that we won't be."
"We kissed yesterday, Jeff," Nick reminded him, chuckling. "A lot is going to be weird this year."
Jeff laughed. "True. But that means I can do this now."
"Do wh-"
Jeff grabbed his hips, tickling him. Nick burst into a fit of giggles, nearly squirming out of Jeff's grip until he pinned him against the wall.
"J-Jeff, let- let go of me," Nick gasped between laughs.
"Kiss me first," he said, not relenting.
"I can't- can't kiss you when I'm laugh-laughing."
Hs stopped tickling Nick, still keeping a firm hold on his hips. Jeff leaned in and kissed him, Nick's suppressed giggles vibrating against his lips.
"Woah, PDA much?" a familiar voice joked.
They broke apart, Jeff's hands sliding off of Nick's hips. Leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face was Wes- he was their roommate first semester of freshman year, and they hit it off immediately.
He laughed at the looks on their faces. "It was a matter of time, honestly. The only people who couldn't tell you two liked each other was you two."
Jeff laughed as well. "Seriously?"
"Yep. Also, how's it feel to not be in the same dorm?" They had started walking to their dorms as they talked.
Nick sighed. "I just got him to stop complaining, Wes."
Jeff elbowed him playfully. "It'd help if I knew anyone in my dorm."
"Well, you know me," Wes pointed out. "Thad's on the council with me, I don't know him super well but he's nice. I think Kurt's a transfer, I'm not sure."
He nodded, recognizing where he had heard Thad's name before.
"I have Sebastian Smythe, the kid who transferred last year, Blaine Anderson, and David Thompson. I think David's on the council but I don't really know any of them," Nick said.
"Yeah, David's on the council. He's pretty cool," Wes said.
Jeff raised an eyebrow. "You hesitated."
"What?"
"You hesitated before you said cool," Jeff repeated.
Wes rolled his eyes. "I did not."
"Yeah, you did. You were just going to call him pretty." Jeff was extremely amused, as was Nick.
"You're delirious," Wes said, cheeks growing pink all the same.
Nick laughed. "You so were. Does Wes have a crush?" he teased.
"You're both ridiculous. I don't have a crush on anyone, much less him."
"You're blushing," Jeff pointed out.
"You're embarrassing me! Besides, you guys know I don't do relationships."
They certainly did. They just didn't know why.
Jeff sighed. "Okay. Just answer me honestly. You are gay, correct?"
"Yeah," Wes said, wondering where this was going.
"He is gay, correct?"
"Bisexual, but yes."
"You are attracted to him, correct?"
He blushed. "Yeah," he admitted.
"Then why won't you go out with him?" Jeff asked exasperatedly. "You told us you don't do relationships, but why?"
Wes cleared his throat. "We're here," he said, dodging the question. Sure enough, they had reached their dorms.
"You're not getting out of this," Jeff warned, opening the door to their dorm as Nick went to his.
