Nick couldn't sleep a wink all night. Something about being in a room full of people set off his anxiety.

Thoughts of his father's shouted work calls filled his mind. After the call Sebastian had taken, it was all he could think about.

In the early morning, someone's phone started ringing. Sebastian groaned, mumbling something in French.

He picked it up. "Casse-toi, putain," he said angrily.

There was a faint response from the other side.

"Oh, fuck, my bad. But why are you calling me so early?"

The other side sounded angry.

"No, I– I wasn't–" Sebastian kept trying to say. "Oi! Let me explain, would you? I didn't check my caller ID, I thought you were my mother."

They had calmed down.

"Yes, I answer the phone by calling my mother a whore, what else would I call her? 'Mom?'" They said something and he laughed. "Yeah, I'll do that next time, I'm sure she'll be pleased. I have to go, you woke up literally all of my roommates. I'll text you."

He hung up. "Sorry, guys."

David yawned. "It's alright. Who was that?"

"My boyfriend."

Blaine laughed a little. "No wonder he wasn't happy when he called you and was met with 'Eff off, whore.'"

"How'd you know what it meant?" Sebastian asked curiously.

"My, um, friend speaks French, I recognize a few phrases here and there. 'Casse-toi' is one I'm very familiar with."

"Your 'um, friend?'" he repeated. "Or your boyfriend?"

Blaine reddened. "There's no point in asking the question if you already know the answer."

Nick looked around the room, seeing David get up and figuring he could too. Then he paused, rubbing his eyes, trying to see if he could reset his vision. But no, David looked the same.

"Okay, I'm sorry if this is a bad time, and I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, but I'm very confused. Are you trans?" he asked.

David paused, glancing down at his chest. "Yeah, I am," he admitted. "That's okay with you guys, right?"

"Oh, of course, I just wasn't sure if my eyes were messing with me or not," Nick said.

"Literally could not care less," Sebastian said boredly, texting.

"I'm not transphobic," Blaine added.

He nodded, looking relieved. "Okay. Thank you. And no one really knows, and I'd rather keep it that way."

"I'll try to refrain from talking about which of my roommates have dicks," Sebastian deadpanned, making them laugh.
