AUTHOR'S NOTE (deleting later): Sorry for the late update. Been a rough week. Made this one a little longer because of the wait. I'll try my best to going back to regular updates from now on! 💞💞

A lot was on your mind now.

Felix, the charismatic leader of the Safe Zone and it's people.  Judy's disappearance. The incriminating pen. And Eugene, the immune boy, the one who could save everyone.

Emotions and thoughts battled inside of you as you stepped outside of the infirmary, a slight breeze blowing across your face. Despite everything that had happened, it was a nice day today. The sun was hanging low in the sky, the wind cool, and just for a moment you could almost forget the apocalypse happened, just like Eugene on the school's roof.

It had definitely been more than a few minutes, like you had promised Lawrence, and when you turned to look at the supply shed, no one was there. It was almost like you were the only one here, the only one left.

But of course, you couldn't stand there and smell the flowers. You bet your friends were already starting to worry. With one last breath of calm, fresh air, you headed back towards the hotel.

And as soon as you pushed open the glass doors, you were greeted with the sound of arguing.

Rushing over to the dining room, you stepped in just in time to see Sue hold up Felix's pen, the discovery from Judy's room, up for everyone to see. The room went quiet as she spoke.

"On the outside, it's an incriminating piece of evidence," she began. "But I have a hunch there's more to it than that. Forgive for this, Zion, but I believe Felix was set up."

"Set up?" Zion, and surprisingly, Lawrence, exclaimed at the same time.

"It's his pen! Found in Judy's room! That's all we need to know!" Zion insisted. You had a feeling he was on the "Felix-is-guilty" side.

"And it's pretty bold of you to say this was a set-up," Lawrence added, in a calmer but equally challenging tone. "That means who ever did this not only had to have a reason to attack Judy, but also, to go out of their way to frame someone else."

"It's all just so screwed," Jay said with a stressed sigh, pressing his fingers into his temples.

You only just noticed Felix sitting off to the side with his clipboard, chewing the end of a pencil nervously, looking miserable yet hopeful at Sue's suggestion. Could he really have done it?

"With the attack of the girl, Judy, we don't have many leads," the girl from that morning spoke up. "But if Felix really was framed, then all we need to know is why someone would choose him of all the people here."

Sue nodded. "Exactly what I was thinking. So here's my question: who here would want to frame Felix?"

The room was silent, and you could see most people drawing a blank.

"How should we know?" a boy who seemed a little younger than you asked, bandaids riddled along his arms.

"Then I'll make it easier," Sue said, and by her voice you knew she was about to say something important. "Who here dislikes Felix?"

The people you didn't know still looked blank, but suspicion was rising among your friends.

"I hope you know what you're getting yourself into, Sue," came a serious voice. You turned to see Lawrence, looking grave.

It only just occurred to you what Sue's point was. Even from the beginning - just yesterday, which amazed you - Lawrence hadn't like Felix one bit.
