Jeongguk slowly opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the face that he thought existed only in his dreams.

"So it wasn't a dream?" He lifted his head, looking around. Rocks were surrounding him, there was also a beautiful small waterfall.

He tried to sit up but Taehyung's grip around his body tightened. "Not yet babe." He spoke in his sleep, causing Jeongguk to chuckle. He should've been scared but somehow wasn't, he felt safe.

After thinking for a moment the prince leaned back on Taehyung's chest and could hear his heartbeat.

Jeongguk had almost forgotten about his upcoming wedding - almost.

He didn't know what it was, but he was so attracted to the boy behind him, although Jeongguk wasn't sure what's part of a dream and what wasn't. He remembered seeing him as a merman but at the thought of it, he shook his head slightly.

Taehyung couldn't be a merman, such things don't exist, so why was he surrounded by rocks and not walls? Was it still a dream? He pinched his cheeks, groaning in pain.

"Jeongguk, you're awake, how do you feel?" Taehyung cupped the other's red cheeks and studied his face.

"I am fine." Jeongguk's face was squeezed between long, pretty fingers, he looked like a duck face. "Can you umm-" They were way too close and his heart was suddenly beating really fast.

"Oh, Oh! Of course, I'm sorry. Didn't mean to hurt you." Taehyung let go of his face, lying back down on his pillow.

"You didn't hurt me. I just- I'm sure I looked ugly when you did it." Biting his lower lip shyly, Jeongguk looked down to his hands.

"No, you're always handsome Gguk." Wait... What did he just say? Taehyung covered his face with his palms in shame.

Jeongguk couldn't help but giggle. "Thanks, you're not that bad either."

"Hey you lovebirds, finally awake?" Seokjin walked over to them and to be honest, they were glad that he came, saving the situation.

"As you can see, we are." Taehyung smiled and so did Jeongguk.

"Are you hungry? Made something to eat, I hope you like fish." The older brother looked at the guest and chuckled.

"I love fish!" Jeongguk answered excitedly, he really does.

"I see, I'm sure you do." Seokjin looked at Taehyung, who's now a blushing mess. It was obvious what he meant by that.

Jeongguk followed his gaze. Somehow he knew what it meant, too and didn't deny it.

"Let's go before it gets cold." Seokjin helped them up and left.

Taehyung knew that he has to tell him what they are, hoped that Jeongguk wouldn't freak out. He mind linked with his dad to ask him if he could do it and he agreed immediately.

They sat down on the ground, a flat stone in front of them as a table. They only didn't have cutlery.

"Eat, you have to go back soon. I've talked to your father and he said that you have to get ready for something important." The King informed their guest, then everyone started to eat, using their fingers. Jeongguk would lie if he'd say that he didn't enjoy it.

As a prince, Jeongguk always had to eat with cutlery, even pizza and nuggets.

He ignored the part where the elder indirectly mentioned his wedding because he was in a good mood and didn't want to ruin it. "It's so delicious, you're a really great cook."

Seokjin smiled at him while Taehyung was looking at his dad. They should tell Jeongguk now.

The King understood and nodded. "So Jeongguk, I'm sure you wonder how you came here."

"Yes sir, I had a weird dream but I don't think that's the way you brought me to your um, home?" Jeongguk wasn't sure if they really lived there. It was cozy and all, but there wasn't a TV or PC.

"I don't know about your dream, but Taehyung made sure you had enough air to breath while you both were under water. We are mermen and that's indeed our home. I'm the King of all sea creatures and Jin here will take over when the time's right." He studied Jeongguk's face the hole time, wanted to make sure that he wouldn't freak out, what fortunately didn't happen.

Jeongguk laughed, thought that he was sleep talking and they were making fun of it. Though, when he saw that nobody else was laughing, he stopped. "You mean it?" He put the fish down and looked at them confused.

"Yes Jeongguk, why would I say something like that when it's not true?" The King stood up and went to the water.

"Dad!" Taehyung tried to hold him back, maybe it was still too early?

"No son, he has to see it to believe it." He jumped into the clear water and his legs immediately transformed.

"Holy sh-" Jeongguk didn't want to curse so he stopped. "That's so beautiful, can I uh- touch it?"

The King laughed out loud but shook his head. It was a bit intimate and he shouldn't be the one who gets touched by him.

"Taehyung, come in." He ordered instead and his son obeyed.

Taehyung's eyes never left the Jeongguk's while letting himself sink down into the, for him, warm wet. Taehyung knew he had the most beautiful fin out there, but Jeongguk's gaze on him made him feel even more special, he liked it.

Taehyung was still wearing his shirt, the rest of the clothes left his body while changing.

Without any words, Jeongguk sat down. His own legs were in the water too. He patted the place next to him. Taehyung understood and came up to sit down. Half of his turquoise fin still in the water.

"Can I?" Jeongguk asked, looking directly into Taehyung's eyes, who nodded slowly
