Jens Pov
I woke up in a puddle of my blood. I guess I didn't hit anything major. I felt really weak and dizzy. I must have been passed out for a while for the sun was already down. I climbed out of the pipe and pulled my sleeves over my still bleeding cuts. I still had some vodka in the bottle so I drank the rest of that and started walking. I'm not sure were. I know I didn't want to go home. I was not going to let my mom see me like this. After walking for about an hour I decided I should go home. I had nowhere else to go after all. My mom wouldn't be home till later that night.
Cody's POV
I was so fucking worried about Jen. She was acting weird before she left. I decided to park on the other side of the road by her house so I could at least know that she gets home safe.
Jens POV
On the walk home I had very strong impulse to jump in front of a car. Or do something that would end me. I needed it all to stop and there was only one way to do that. I didn't know if I was thinking like this cause I was drunk or because it's what I actually thought. Without a second thought I stepped out into the road. Unluckily though the car in front of me had hell of good breaks. The man angrily got out of his car and started yelling at me.
"Lady what the fuck were you thinking jumping out in front of me like that!" He yelled angrily.
"What the fuck was I thinking? Why didn't you fucking step on the gas!" I yell back.
Cody's POv
I started hearing yelling down the street from where I was parked from my rolled down window. I climbed out of the car and ran down the street to see what the commotion was. As I get closer I realize the girl in the street was Jen and she an angry man were yelling at each other. Jen had an empty vodka bottle in her hand and blood blood soaked sleeves. At that moment I realize she was drunk. I walked up to her and grabbed her hand.
"Yes please get that crazy fucking girl out of the road, jesus christ." The man yelled as he climbed back into his car.
I pulled Jen out of the street as she continued to yell at the mans vehicle as it drove away. She kept trying to pull away but I wouldn't let her go.
"Jen what are you doing?" I say as I walk her back to her house.
"Take me back cody, I said take me back!" She yells at me.
"No Jen, your going home." I reply.
As we arrived to the house I walked upstairs and set her down on her bed. I decided to call Hannah. I needed her help. I will tell Chris tomorrow.
"Hey hannah I need you to come to Jens." I say into the phone.
"Why? Is everything ok?" She replies.
"No, Jen is wasted and she's bleeding badly and I don't know what to do." I reply.
"Just try to calm down Cody I'll be there as fast as I can." She replies as she hangs up.
Jen continued to yell at me to take her back, soon her voice got tired so she began just angry mumbling. I wasn't quite sure why she was bleeding so while waiting for Hannah I decided to roll up her sleeves to see. What I saw was Her skin in shreds. Then I realized that she was the one who did this to herself. This must have been the secret she was trying so hard to keep from me. I wanted to cry for her but I knew I needed to remain calm in able to keep Jen calm. After a couple of minutes i've trying to talk to Jen Hannah came up the stairs.
"Jesus christ what happened." She says.
"I don't know, I found her in the middle of the road." I reply.
"There's no use taking her to the hospital, no one would be able to stitch this mess. Go grab her first aid bag, it's under the sink." Hannah replies.
I grabbed the bag and handed it to Hannah. I sat in silence as Hannah cleaned and bandaged both of Jens arms.
"I need to get her in the bath, shes so dirty, and I need to change her clothes." hannah says.
I watched Jen as Hannah filled the bath. I helped Jen into the bathroom and walked out ehile Hannah got her in the bath.
Hannah walked out and kept the door cracked so she could check on Jen.
"Why didn't you tell me Hannah." I say.
"Jen didn't want me to, it was up to her to tell you." Hannah replies.
"If I would have known I could of stopped this from happening." I reply.
"Nobody could have stopped this from happening, Jen was going to do what she wanted and no one was going to stop her." Hannah replies.
"She could have killed herself tonight, she wanted that car to fucking hit her." I reply.
"We will just need to keep a closer eye on her." Hannah replies.
Hannah went back into the bathroom and dried off Jen and got her dressed into clean clothes.
I got up and helped Jen back into her bed. Jen kept letting out angry slurs on being mad that we didn't let her die. It really upset me to hear her talk like that even though she was drunk.
"I have a job interview tomorrow so I need to go home, I trust that you will keep an eye on her." hannah replies.
"I will, I promise." I reply as she heads down the stairs.
I could tell Jen was tired so I turned off the lights. I climbed into her bed and curled up next to her. I held her tight. I truly loved Jen. It saddened me so much to know how much she was hurting. I wish there was something i could do.
