Jens POVNow I really have to be careful now that Cody is on my ass. I really hope he didn't see me with Jade. That would lead to a whole bunch more questions I don't want to answer. I really don't feel safe at home by myself. Moms still at work and dads out at the bar hanging with his friends. And all I want to do is do more damage to myself. I really want to call Cody but he is probably mad at me so I'll call Chris.
"Hey, Jen what's up." He replies right away.
"Can I spend the night? I don't like being home alone." I ask.
"Yah sure come over my moms on a business trip so we're all good." He replies.
I began the walk to Chris's house which was about five blocks away from mine. It was so hot outside and I was wearing a knit sweater. I really hope Chris doesn't mention it. I just arrived on his street when I heard a noise behind me. LA was a scary place at night so I definitely jumped to the worst conclusion. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I screamed so loud as I jumped around to see who was there and it was just Chris.
"Jesus fucking christ man what the fuck!" I yell at him.
"Hey, I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you just thought id walk you the rest of the way." He replies.
"Ugh there's less scary ways to approach people," I reply.
"Haha I know, hey why are you wearing a sweater it's fucking hot out here." He replies.
"Cause I felt like it," I reply trying to avoid the question.
We arrived at his house, he let me in and he shut the door behind us as we walked to his room. He turned on the TV as I sat down on his bed.
"Hmmm what should we watch?" He asks.
"How about Scream? I'm really enjoying that series right now." I reply.
"Sounds good, so Chris called me concerned about you and I just want you to be honest, are you ok?" He asks.
"Yes, I'm fine." I lie.
"Can you at least tell me what happened today?" He asks.
"I had an appointment." I lie again.
"Now we both know that's not true me and Cody have already debunked that one so that's just practice honesty ok," Chris replies.
"Just stuff that I don't feel like talking about," I reply.
"I hope one day you will feel like you can trust me," Chris replies.
"I do trust you I just can't tell you everything yet," I reply.
"Alright," Chris replies while dropping the subject.
As the night grew on I ended up falling asleep. I woke up to Chris shaking me.
"What?" I ask while trying to adjust my eyes to the light.
"It's three o'clock sleeping beauty." I hear Cody say.
I opened my eyes all the way to see Cody and Chris standing over me.
"Jesus why did you let me sleep so long! My moms going to kill me for missing another day of school!" I say angrily while jumping out of bed.
I very ungracefully jumped out of bed mind you and tripped and hit my head on his dresser. I got up and rubbed my head.
"Fuckkk," I say.
"Dude I think you needed the sleep possibly more," Chris replies.
"Ugh, whatever," I reply.
