A/N: Hey guys! I have a huge question for you all. Should I continue with Bruce and Amelia falling in love with each other or should it stay as Bruce and Natasha? Let me know what you all think in the comments. I hope you all are enjoying the story so far!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amelia held Bruce's hand as she listened to Loki talk. He wasn't getting anywhere near Bruce. She wasn't going to let him. Steve watched until the monitor went black. The room was heavily silent. Everyone had yet to process everything.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce asked. Amelia held his hand a little tighter in an attempt to calm him down. He looked at their hands then at her taking a deep breath.

"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked looking up from where the screen had just been.

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract."

"An army? From outer space?" Steve asked clearly confused.

"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce said as Amelia nodded.

"Selvig?" Thor asked confused.

"He's an astrophysicist," Amelia said trying to make sure Thor was up to date on the current people mixed in the problem.

"He's a friend," Thor said to Amelia.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Natasha said.

"I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here." Steve pointed out to the group.

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him." Bruce said as he looked from his and Amelia's hands to the group.

"Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother." Thor said looking around the room.

"He killed eighty people in two days," Amelia said as she stood up.

"He's adopted." Was all Thor had to say back to her.

"Iridium, what did they need the Iridium for?" Bruce asked.

"It's a stabilizing agent." Amelia and Tony said at the same time. Tony said something more to Coulson then continued to walk into the room and move towards Fury's screens.

"With it, the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD," Amelia said finishing their thought

"No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing," Tony said to Thor before he continued the conversation. "Also, it means the portal can open as wide, and stay open as long, as Loki wants. Uh, raise the mid-mast, ship the topsails. That man is playing GALAGA! Thought we wouldn't notice. But we did. How does Fury do this?"

"He turns," Maria said as Amelia sighed and covered her face.

"Well, that sounds exhausting," Tony said.

"Anthony. Point. Get to it." Amelia said as she uncovered her face and looked at him.

"Right. The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. Only major component he still needs is a power source. A high energy density, something to kick start the cube."

"When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" Maria asked Tony surprised.

"Last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, the Extraction Theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading?"
