Seokjin knocked on the door with one hand, the other holding a bag with lamb skewers he had bought from a shop near campus and a salad for himself and waited for the door to open. The door soon swung open and Seokjin walked in, taking off his mask with a pull of his fingers.
"Hey." Seokjin greeted the two, putting the bag down on a clear table.
"Why the mask hyung?" Yoongi asked out of curiosity. He had never seen Seokjin wearing a mask except for when he was sick.
"Once when I left my house late without a mask on I almost got ambushed by a bunch of girls trying to stop me from visiting my 'girlfriends' house." Seokjin rolled his eyes as he plopped himself down on the black sofa.
"You were stopped from going to your girlfriend's?" Namjoon asked, a hint of disappointment in his question.
Seokjin laughed, slapping his seat, "No! I mean I broke up with my girlfriend a while back at that time! But I was trying to go to Jaebum's that night!"
Yoongi stared at him before humming while taking out the food from the bag, and Namjoon's face lifted.
"Jaebum called me and he said he wanted to cuddle so I went! I had to call Jaebum while I was getting ambushed and he brought Jackson wearing all black to scare off all the girls." Seokjin continued chuckling.
Namjoon was nodding when he stopped to look at Seokjin in the eye,
"Jackson? Like Jackson in Jackson Wang?"
"Yeah! You know him?" Seokjin asked, his salad passed to him by Yoongi who looked at it with disgust.
"He used to buzz around me with those puppy eyes last year!!" Namjoon exclaimed.
Seokjin laughed at that and patted Namjoon's arm, "Yeah, that's the same Jackson I know. He tends to be like that when you first meet him."
"Oh, that buff dude? From the different university?" Yoongi piped up, after swallowing what was in his mouth.
"Uh-huh! Jackson's my close friend! He used to stick around me everywhere I go like a bodyguard until I told him to stop." Seokjin said with a fond look in his eyes.
"I haven't heard from him for long. How's he been?" Namjoon asked, opening his can of cola.
"He's in the US as an exchange student right now! He's been doing good, said he'll come visit during the spring break." Seokjin nodded, as he stabbed some vegetables onto his fork.
Namjoon nodded and smiled, "That's nice to hear."
Seokjin nodded along, munching on his food, "So how's the song progressing?"
Gummy smile was shown on Yoongi's face as he stopped eating,
"Listen to the demo-track."
Yoongi stood up and walked towards his computer, clicking a few files before stopping to one. He pressed play.
The song was a violin based track with up and downs in pitch. It was dark, it sounded depressing. Seokjin felt his heart clench at how painfully lonely it sounded, just like him.
Seokjin clapped his hands when the track ended and he excitedly jumped in his seat,
"Woah! This is really good! It sounded so sad."
"It's the first song where the protagonist is falling into depression, a dark abyss." Yoongi explains as he walks back to them.
"I think it sounded exactly like that. It's amazing." Seokjin complimented.
