"It's almost Christmas, huh?" Ken mused as he stared at the festive decorations on campus.

"Yeah. Been quite busy this year, I didn't really notice." Seokjin nodded.

"Um, by the way..." Ken shuffled his weight to his other leg, looking down at his shoes.

Seokjin turned to look at him with a questioning look, waiting for him to continue.

"I'm going to my parent's this Christmas." Ken slowly said, eyes glancing up at the other worriedly.

"Oh..."

Ken nodded as Seokjin took in the information, his face stoic and the two were surrounded by awkward silence.

"I'm fine! You'll be fine too right?" Seokjin asked breaking the atmosphere, his smile forced.

Ken knew that Seokjin was sad, he always was whenever someone mentions their family. It was probably unintentional but Ken had been with him for so long that he knows how Seokjin was feeling right now. Ken wrapped his arms around Seokjin, pulling him into a tight hug, resting his chin onto Seokjin's shoulder.

"I'm sorry." Ken whispered.

"You have nothing to be sorry about." Seokjin chuckled lightly, pushing Ken playfully.

"You'll be alright?" Ken looked into Seokjin's eyes, searching for his answer.

"I will be. Enjoy Christmas with your parents! They probably miss you a lot." Seokjin said, his tone a little wistful.

"Yeah..."

Seokjin smiled a little too brightly at Ken before looking behind him and pushing him lightly away. Ken turned around to see a group of girls coming towards them. The girls all rushed to Seokjin and started chatting with him excitedly to which Seokjin enthusiastically joined and giggled.

Ken tried his best to hide the frown on his face.
