Smug and arrogant are the two words that come to mind when taking about Ace Beckett, the school's very own heartthrob. He isn't mean or anything, quite the opposite in fact, most would say he is the nicest person they know. He is simply prideful, and for good reason too as he is the most popular kid in school and always has been.
Ace is the captain of the football team, but not the quarterback as most people would expect. He is incredibly skilled but knows when someone else is better suited for a job. It's what makes him a good leader, he may be cocky as heck but he knows when he sees talent and he certainly knows a good idea when he hears it.
The answer to why Ace has so many friends is simple, he loves people. While even Ace can enjoy having some time to himself, he likes being the center of attention as well and is his best self when surrounded by friends.
Teachers love Ace even though he can be disruptive at times. He may be noisy but he still has a respect for authority and with his charismatic nature, nobody can stay mad at him for long. Ace is a solid B+/A- student, working just hard enough to stay in sports while still having plenty of fun.
