~PERSONALITY~
Mr. Hayes has a reputation for being cold and heartless and he is proud of it. After all, it is this reputation that keeps his company running smooth and effectively.
Mr. Hayes will defend anything and anyone he cares about passionately, but as far as anyone knows, all he cares about is his company and making sure if is running as well as humanly possible.
It's not that he isn't gentlemanly, in fact, Mr. Hayes would never be called anything less. It is more so that he doesn't really pay anyone any mind. Jaxon doesn't really think himself superior to anyone else, he simply doesn't have time to dilly dally with people whose lives he believes are less important than his own.
All things considered, Jaxon is quite a mystery to everyone who knows him. It's safe to assume he isn't really the stone cold face he presents to the public but nobody has ever gotten close enough to find out, perhaps not even Jaxon himself.

~BACKSTORY~
Most people assume that everything Mr. Hayes has has been handed to him but truthfully, that is not the case.
Jaxon's mother is a kind woman who only wants to see her son succeed but wished he wasn't such a workaholic and would consider settling down, though she has yet to meet a girlfriend of his he likes.
Jaxon's father is quite a ruthless man. Not unkind but competitive and with high standard and expectations, all traits that have been directly passed on to his son.
His father demanded that Jaxon work his way up to the top and made him work since he began high school in lower levels of his own company to prove his work ethic. He also made him sit in on all meetings and such before gifting him the position of CEO when he reached 18 on a trial basis.
When Jaxon turned 21 his father finally retired truly giving his son the company. His son, determined to carry on his fathers legacy, has remained a ruthless employer to keep his company in tip top shape.
Due to his hard work, Hayes inc. has only grown in size and stature through the years and Jaxon has only grown in wealth, pride, and loneliness.
Jaxon has a reputation of a playboy because he always brings a new woman to events, but truly he never likes them, nor does he sleep with them. They are simply what is expected of him. Jaxon has never met a girl he actually likes and doesn't ever expect to, especially not with how much he works.
