When she snapped her fingers, the Soul Protect she had been using broke and revealed over a thousand powerful kishin souls surrounding us. She walked off and put up a barrier preventing us from escaping.
"Vector Plates!" I yelled angrily as I set up a circle of them, all pointing inward, around her
She tried stepping over the circle to leave but it triggered the plate and sent her flying into a different one. A chain reaction was triggered and she was rocketed around the circle mercilessly.
"Hogo, Kaibo," I said uneasily as the kishin began to encircle us "Remember that technique I told you we'd never try?"
"Yeah, because it was dangerous and we could die if we couldn't pull it off." Kaibo said
"Well one of you is going to have to try it. You're both strong enough and I wouldn't be even thinking to suggest this if we had an option." I said in a broken voice "If anything happens then I want to say sorry now but we have to-"
"I'll do it." Hogo cut me off
I nodded sadly at him and went into my death scythe form. Hogo may only be older than Kaibo by five or six minutes but it definitely showed in him as a great level of maturity. He had amazing strength, courage, and protectiveness about him. He was what I wish I could be for Crona.
"Reaper Hunter!" Hogo yelled as he attempted the technique
It was a legendary technique far more powerful than both Genie Hunter and Witch Hunter combined. Despite how powerful it was, the technique was lost to time since so few people could pull it off without dying in the process of trying. I was transformed into the Reaper-Hunter form the spell did and nearly cried in relief that Hogo pulled it off. Kaibo started shooting out her soul wavelengths at the kishin around her. Maka transformed Soul into Genie Hunter and slashed at the kishin as they came. Crona used Ragnarok to fight them off and Black Star used Tsubaki, in her chain scythe form, to help. Liz and Patty were now twin pistols as Death the Kid used them to shoot out blasts infused with his soul wavelength. As I feared, they weren't making a dent in the numbers. As a combined effort they barely took down ten or twelve within a few minutes but nearly a hundred approached in the time it took them to do so. Hogo swung me and a beam made of a concentrated mixture of our soul wavelengths was shot out. About fifty of sixty kishin were taken down in the span of a few seconds. He continued to swing me, quickly whittling their numbers down. They went rapidly went from over a thousand to just over five hundred to just under a hundred to none. He began to fall to the ground in exhaustion but I quickly transformed back and caught him in my arms. I set him down gently so he could rest then glared at Astrid who was still being thrown about the circle of vector plates. I walked up to her with cold eyes and a Compress Vector in hand. I dismissed the plates, causing her to be shot into the wall of the alleyway. The hit she took made her break the barrier spell they was separating her and I. Before she could try to get up, I hit her with the Compress Vector. She wriggled on the floor in pain as I walked closer to her. I used my black blood to form thorny vines that wrapped around her wrists and ankles. I held her off the ground by the thrones, keeping a tight grip so they pierced into her skin. Her head was slumped forward and she seemed on the cusp of passing out. I formed several Vector Arrows at my feet and stared up at her with a fiery hate. I made the arrows gently lift her chin so she was facing me. A glimmer of hope flashed in her eyes as she saw the warm smile on my face. That hope grew into fear as my false warm smile slowly morphed into the sinister grin that was hidden beneath it. She tried to plea but before she could get any words out, the arrows that held her head up pierced through her from every angle.
"Skye!" Kaibo nagged
"What?" I asked "She tried hurting you and Hogo, not to mention Crona. Like hell I wasn't killing the bitch."
