Chapter 6

Arlo's VS Gamie

Arlo looked Gamie straight in the face, wondering how Remi lost to her. "What have you got up your sleeve, Gamie?" yelled Arlo, "Wouldn't you like to know, cutie," as Gamie said this she winked. "Disgusting, flirting during a fight," Arlo thought. Immediately, Arlo summoned his barrier around her, closing in. As he did this, Gamie used her enhanced speed and summon able throwing knives to dig underground escaping the barrier and then digging out. Arlo was so dumbfound he didn't even try to stop her. Gamie then charged at him to finish him off. When Arlo barrier-ed himself, just in the nick of time, sending off a large amount of recoil. Arlo kept holding the barrier. Gamie knew that she wouldn't be able to defeat Arlo like that with so much recoil. She immediately threw one of her knives directly at Elaine. Arlo noticed before anyone else, taking down his barrier and putting it on Elaine, just in time. Gamie then rushed right up to Arlo, to the point where they were touching. Then before she could make a flirtatious move, Arlo punched her in the face sending her back, and said "You broke the rules, we win by default. This turf war is over."

Arlo's POV

Finn chased after Arlo saying that it wasn't over and Arlo was a coward. Before Finn could get to Arlo, Arlo and the rest of the team where on the train back.

Later on, the bus

"Arlo, doesn't that technically count as a forfeit?" asked Remi, to that Arlo responded, "They cheated, it's as simple as that." "Actually, according to the rules that just means they forfeit that round," chipped in Elaine. Arlo glared at Elaine remembering how she had ended the round, when she had no jurisdiction to do so. "How DARE you speak to me, Elaine!" he thought of saying, but he ended up letting it go. Elaine had seen him lose his cool, his yearning for perfection was not huge but enough to hurt someone for trying to stop him. He was glad that she had, Remi might not have made it out without being hospitalized. "Actually, the rules are kind of hazy around hitting someone not in combat, Gamie could have easily blamed it on missing." Blyke coldly added still recovering from his injuries. "Does that mean that the turf wars aren't over?" as Remi said this a mysterious voice said, "You're right the turf war isn't over!" everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw a throwing knife at Arlo's throat.
