Chapter 33: Happily Preparing
Applejack (who woke up very early) was the first of the group to head to Sugarcube corner.
Pinkie had asked the group if they could bring some items for her party.
In her hand was a handle pulling a wagon behind her, it was filled with a couple things from the farm.
Pinkie had asked her to bring an Apple pie, apple clusters and about two gallons of apple cider.
"Hehe, wait 'till Pinkie Pie sees what ah' got!" Applejack smiled in satisfaction.
Applejack knocked on the door, but noticed it was unlocked. She opened it to see Pinkie Pie hanging on the ceiling, wrapped in candy cane wrapping paper.
"Pinkie?"
"Oh! Hey Jackie! How's it going?" Pinkie said in her usual bubbly tone.
"Ya need help getting down?"
"No, I got this."
Pinkie wiggled around the paper, trying to get out, the paper started to rip and it wasn't long until she came crashing down.
"WEEE-OOF!"
Pinkie had once again fallen face-first to the ground.
Applejack gasped "Are you alright Pinkie?"
"I'm ok..." She groaned as she got up.
"Well, alright then, in that case, I brought these with me. Hopefully these will make things more fun." Applejack said as she pulled her wagon inside, making Pinkie gasp in excitement.
"Oh goodie! You're the best Applejack!"
"So, where do you want me to put these?" Applejack said as she picked up the things off her wagon.
"I think the kitchen would be fine."
Applejack nodded as she rolled the wagon inside and closed the door.
As she pulled the wagon to the kitchen, there was another knock on the door.
"Who is ittttt?" Pinkie sang as she skipped to the door.
She opened it to find Fluttershy. In one hand she was holding a basket full of Fruit and vegetables. While on her shoulder hanged her pet rabbit, Angel Bunny.
"Oh! Hey Fluttershy!"
"H-hi... I brought Angel with me just like you asked me to."
"What's with the fruits and veggies?"
"Oh, I figured with all the sugar tonight, I though it would be helpful to bring something a little more healthier. I-i hope you don't mind." Fluttershy said with a embarrassed look on her face as she handed the basket to her pink-haired friend.
"Oh! Um... how kind of you Flutters! I'm sure people will enjoy these." Pinkie smiled as she gagged silently once Fluttersh looked away.
"Alright, so far Jackie and Flutters brought their things, now we just need the other four to come soon." Pinkie whispered to herself as she crossed out names on a clipboard.
Soon, the door made another knocking sound, Applejack opened to find Twilight and Rarity.
Twilight held in her arms a supply of extra ornaments in her bag, along with a storybook that was titled "The History of Christmas" in her hands. Rarity on the other hand, had her hands full of streamers, lights and even went as far to bring a small handbag full of cosmetics.
"Great! You guys came, and with the stuff I asked you to bring!" Pinkie jumped up and down.
"Flash is on his way too. He said he'll bring his guitar to play some carols."
"Hey Rarity, what's with the makeup? You didn't have to bring that with you."
"Oh nonsense Pinkie darling! As a fashionista, it's important to always be prepared. Especially if you want to stand out." Rarity said as she gave a small twirl and winked her eyes.
Pinkie Pie just shrugged in response.
"All that's left is to wait for Sunset and Rainbow Dash." Twilight said as she started to set the extra decorations, with Fluttershy helping.
Minutes later, another knock on the door was heard.
"It's open!"
The door opened to reveal Sunset Shimmer, she had brought a Small carboard box, inside it was a game console she had recently bought. She also carried a six-pack of soda.
"Hey! I got my brand new Gintendo Switch with me! So who's ready to get this party started!?"
Pinkie jumped in excitement "Oo! Oo! Me! Me! Me! I've been DYING to buy one of those things!"
"Ey' Fluttershy, do ya' know if Rainbow Dash is showing up soon?" Applejack asked as she began to help Twilight with the ornaments.
"Um... I don't know, I texted her earlier, b-but she never texted back." Fluttershy timidly responded.
"Eh, Don't worry about it Fluttershy. If I know Rainbow Dash, she won't let us down." Twilight assured her.

I wanted to talk to you about why it took me so long to post a new chapter of this fanfic.
First of all, High School: I am now in my senior year and I am about three months away from graduation. So the work has been really piled on me. This gave me little to come up with plotlines.
Second, writers block: This is gonna be short and sweet. Looking back on previous chapters, I couldn't help but struggle to come up with dialogue and character building.
And Finally, For a long time, I didn't feel mentally well, things kept happening from left and right. I felt so alone and lost for a while that I just didn't know what to do. I've recovered slightly but I still feel this way from time to time.
That's about everything. But I just wanted to say thank you so much for the support! We're almost at 50k reads. I didn't think I'd ever get this far. So once again, thank you guys SO MUCH!
