Chapter 34: Chatting while we make our way
Rainbow's POV

"Hey Rainbow! Let's get married!"
"Eww gross! Marriage is for grown ups!"
"But I love you!"
"You dummy! We're 4th graders we can't get married!"
"Well, when we're older I'll ask you again. Remember that Rainbow Dash!"
The Christmas Party arc begins!

Usually whenever I get invited to parties I show up in style and make things 20 percent cooler.
But this time was different, because I would be going with a boy this time around!
I don't understand why I'm feeling so nervous, is this what Fluttershy means when she says I've got butterflies in my stomach? Even so, I just have to put my nervousness aside and get ready.
I had already gotten dressed. I was wearing a red sweater that had candy cane patterns on it, blue skinny jeans, white winter boots and put a red bowtie on my head. Nothing too fancy but just enough to qualify as holiday spirit.
I tied my hair into a ponytail and and painted my nails red and white. I don't use nail polish often just usually for special occasions.
Pinkie told me just bring something as contribution but I felt lazy so I figured that I would just take my guitar and sing a couple of Carol's. That's enough contribution in my book.
About half an hour later, my phone buzzed and looked to see that I had received a text from Soarin.
S: I'll be there in about 5 minutes just a heads up.
RD: Alright, I'm just about finished getting dressed. See you in a bit!
"Alright! I'm ready to crash this party!" I said. "Bye Tank! Be a good turtle while I'm gone!" I nonchalantly wave to Tank who was most likely sleeping anyway and open the door, closed it and headed to the party.
As I wait for Soarin I begin to imagine all the kinds of awesome things I'm gonna do at this party. I'm definitely gonna make this party 20 percent cooler!
Soon, I heard a knock on the door and I opened it to see Soarin flash a smile. Those teeth can make any girl blush to be honest.
"What? Not even a hello?" Soarin said. "Oh, sorry I was just distracted." I replied as I closed the door and began to walk alongside Soarin.
"By what? My shiny teeth and me?" He smirked. I playfully laugh "In your dreams lover boy."
As we walked over to the party I began to hum a tiny Christmas Carol while soarin popped a few breath mints into his mouth.
"You ready to party tonight Rainbow? Soarin asked. "Dude, you know me; I'm always ready to get my party on!" I pump my fist into the air in excitement.
"I just hope nothing crazy goes on. Like; I wanna party and have a good time but at the same time safety comes first."
"Soarin come on; ease up. We're gonna have fun and nothing bad will happen. I can promise you that."
"Yeah, you're right; let's just keep walking."
As we kept walking we continued to chat about different things and pretty soon we arrived at the sugarcube corner.
Party time here I come!
