Chapter 8

Akane's POV

(Years ago)

Shen: " -I... I like you Akane Karagami. Would... Would you go out with me! " He said as he bowed and holding red rose flowers.

I looked away blushing.

Akane: " T-That's crazy... Because, I.... I like you for quite a while too She- " He suddenly hugs me. " S... Shen. "

Shen: " I've never been so happy then, I am now. " He looked at me then, kisses me. " I love you, Akane. "

Akane: " I love you too, Shen. "

(Present)

I opened my eyes to see I'm back in the hospital.

Mom: " I see you cane back from the dead. " I sat up and looked at mom.

Akane: " Mom... " I looked down then, remembered Rin. " Rin!- "

Mom: " It's okay. She's in the next room. "

Akane: " Oh... " I looked away as I cried. " Damn it... I... I failed to kill them... I... I'm- " Mom quickly hugs me. " M... Mom. "

Mom: " You idiot... I really thought I've lost you. You have no idea how worried I was when I saw you being carried in a scratcher and bleeding all over. " She said as she held me tighter and squeezing.

Akane: Mom... I hugged her back. " Sorry... I didn't mean to- "

Mom: " Y... You idiot. " She rubs my head as she started crying.

Akane: Mom... Sorry...

(The Next Day)

When my wounds healed thanks to my half Angel abilities, me and mom walked to the next room to see Rin all bandged up as we laughed at her. Before long all three of us was discharged within a months time. When we finally all waked out together, me and Rin helped mom up and inside the taxi and out when we got home and onto the couch.

Mom: " Geez. Now I really feel old. "

Akane: " 36 isn't old mom. "

Rin: " Yeah. My dad is 46 and he's still kicking the bucket around. "

Not long after settling mom inside, I walked Rin home and helped her up the shrine's stairs as her father ran out and hug her. Just when they was about to walk inside the house-

Rin: " Bye Akane! See you tomorrow! "
She said waving goodbye.

Akane: " Yeah, see ya! " Unfortunately for me, that was the last I saw of Rin. She never came to the next day of school or came to my house to wake me up. It's like she completely vanished. When I finally decided to go to tge shrine to look for her, her and her father are nowhere to be seen. Not even a sign that they been inside.

(A Month Later)

I got up and grab my books and guitar case and walked out as school ended for Spring Break. I walked straight to the shrine's stairs then, walked home. I drop my things and drop to the floor and sigh.

Mom: " You know. You can't keep doing this. "

Akane: " Mmmmm. "

Mom: " You're going to look older than me when you turn 26 if this keeps up you know. "

Akane: " Mmm-mmm-Mmmm. "

Mom: " (Sigh). I tried. " Mom said then, walked in the kitchen.

I got up and walked to the living room to see the news was still talking about the mystery winged person and the destruction it left behind.
