When I first saw her...
Harry's P.O.V
When I first saw Arianna, I'm not going to be all cliché' and tell you that she took my breath-away and she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. That of course doesn't mean she wasn't beautiful, she certainly was a stunner with her long black hair and her alluring eyes. What really drew me to her were her clothes. Now, I live in a very expensive secured complex, so everyone that lives here is rich too. All the girls walk around with designer clothes right down to their socks, so when she walked in with her suitcases to the house next to mine in a grey sweatpants and NY hoddie, I knew for sure I was going to like this girl but I certainly wasn’t aware I was going to fall hopelessly in love with her.
I was leaving my house to head to some A-list party; I didn't really want to attend. But there were boxes in front of her house, stopping me from getting to the escalator or the stairs. So I waited outside her house, I certainly didn't want to touch her boxes and accidentally break something or offend her. I saw her bustling across the apartment in a frenzy "Where is it, where is it?" She said out loud, at first I thought perhaps she was talking to someone else until I realised she was talking to herself. I cleared my throat as loud as possible
"Just a second" she yelled and I saw her run toward the door a friendly smile plastered on her face.
"Hi" I said, at first she seemed confused then her smile deepened making her eyes sparkle
"I thought you were the delivery guy, " I chuckled
"No not the delivery guy, just your next door neighbour" She yanked her hair out of her messy bun, letting it fall flawlessly around her face. She walked outside, climbing through boxes "Sorry about this, I'll get it cleared straight away"
I knew that I had already RSVP that I was going to be at that party, I knew that Liam who I was supposed to meet there would be furious with me, I knew the paparazzi would be awaiting my arrival, I knew people would get angry but knowing all that I said
"I could help you if you like? Bring the boxes inside or something, but I mean if you don't want my help, that's fine as well, I mean it's up to you" I mumbled and hated myself for it, she probably thought I was a weirdo now but instead she just giggled. A sound like fairy floss, so sweet, colourful but gone in a moment.
"Are you sure, don't you have something to do?" She asked as she finally got through the obstacle course of boxes. '
"Yeah positive, that's what good neighbours do right?" She looked up and stopped short, her breath caught in her throat and I could she her mind turning. She stared off into the distance for a while as she put the pieces together and recognition crossed her eyes.
"You're Harry Styles, from one direction right, or someone who looks undeniably like him?" I sighed, great she recognized me. I was kind of hoping she wouldn't, I didn't want to be treated differently right now, and I didn't want to be treated like a celebrity in my own home. Please, Please don't ask for an autograph right now and please don't scream, I thought as I nodded my head.
She smiled
"Well, Mr Styles my name is Arianna. And you're right, it is what good neighbours do" I looked at her as she offered me a lifeline, something I don’t get very often, she offered me the chance to be normal. She gave me the chance to literally be the 'boy next door' and nothing more, I grabbed onto her offer and held on tight as I followed her into her house.
