POV: Percy
I look back at Justin as I enter Chiron's office. I turn around to shut the door behind me, as I'm still facing the door I hear someone speak.
"Ah Percy Jackson, I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time." I assume it was Chiron who was speaking, I turned around to find out.
"Uh, it's nice to meet you... Chiron, right?" I hesitated on the name just to make sure.
"That is I." He said like that was a stupid question.
Chiron looked at me like he had known me my whole entire life but that's not possible, but after today I would believe anything is possible. I sat down in the chair across from his desk, a really nice desk I might add "It must have cost a fortune." I thought to myself.
"What all has Justin told you Mr. Jackson?"
As soon as he said that I felt myself go into a daze, remembering the last words my mother said to me "Now go, do what you were put on this earth for." I said out load not meaning to.
"So what is this place exactly?" I say trying to ignore the fact that I might end up in tears.
"This is Half-Blood High, of course, it's where you belong Percy, you will grow into who you really are, learn things you never thought possible, meet people who have incredible talent. You are very much like your father I can see it. You're tough, but you're kind, you're powerful yet grounded. Not to worry You'll fit right in, I promise."
"This is all so confusing. Who is my father? Because I've apparently been living a lie." I say in shock.
"Poseidon, The God of The Sea. He's..."
"I know who he is!" I outburst cutting him off mid-sentence.
"But I don't understand how that is possible!"
"Percy, ten years ago there was a law passed by Zeus, that law stated that no more could The Gods have any contact with Mortals which meant no more children, it is banned now. You see, in the beginning it had been allowed and that's how you're sitting here in front of me today.. It's very simple really, however, Tonight we will have a ceremony held for your arrival. You will officially be a student in training at Half-Blood High. Let me call in our Dorm Inspector." He reaches for the telephone on his desk, but did not call anyone, he just pressed a number.
I look around the room and what would you know, almost ten seconds later, a knock.
"Come in." Chiron said loud enough for whoever it was on the other side to hear him.
The door opened. It was a girl, stunningly beautiful, she had blonde hair, blue eyes... wait grey eyes. She smiled at me as she sat down next to me in the chair..
"Annabeth, Percy - Percy, Annabeth. Okay so now that we're done with that, Annabeth, Percy Jackson just arrived today and I would like for you to show him to his dorm." Chiron smirks.
She just nodded and got up... I done the same.
"Oh Annabeth, let's try to keep his arrival a secret until tonight at the ceremony. Everyone is in their dorms studying or rather they should be, so you shouldn't run into anyone. Percy, stay in your dorm until I say other wise. Got it? Yes, Good. Now go on." Chiron demanded.
As we walked through the court yard, that's right in front of the school, She looks over at me with a smile.
"This is kind of lame." She laughs.
"Uh, what is?" I ask.
"That you're hiding out. Duh." She says laughing and playfully touched my arm.. It was like our surroundings had faded away for a brief moment.
She felt it, I know she did because I felt it to. It wasn't a spark, no, it was more like a fire, but a good fire, like a burning sensation to know more about her. After she touched me she quickly removed her hand from my arm, even though I could tell she didn't want to.
"So here we are, this is your dorm." She says looking down..
..........
POV: Annabeth
"Thanks Annabeth, I'll see you tonight?" Percy said to me, with a look in his eyes that he was hoping for me to say yes.
"Uh, ye-ah." I stuttered.. Kinda nervously.
He just nodded with a shy smile. He looked around awkwardly. I could tell there was something he wanted to say but he didn't say anything he just turned around to walk inside.
I stood there, and in a moment of complete weakness before he could reach to open the door..
"PERCY!" I yelled out to him.
It got his attention.
He quickly turned around. "Yeah?"
I choked. I'm at loss for words. I'm basically just standing here. Staring at him. It's only been a couple of seconds, but it seems much longer. Finally words come out.
"Uh, So I'll see you tonight... you know at the came fire." I turn around quickly, without even giving him a chance to say anything.. I'm so stupid, I just made a complete idiot out of myself. So I just started walking towards my dorm, feeling so embarrassed.
When I did. Percy yelled to me.
"WAIT, ANNABETH!"
I turn back around to look at him.
"Do you wanna come inside?" He says smiling at me.
