POV: Annabeth
I accepted with a smile. I walked inside the Poseidon Dorm it was one of the few I've never been in before because it's not like you run into a Poseidon kid every day, this was rare. The first thing that caught my eye was it was furnished. Come on really? Flat screen TV, couch, tables, lamps, a desk and that was just what I could see from the entryway. We had to work for ours, but to be honest looking at him I didn't really mind, how could I? Look at those eyes. He was perfect...
"Annabeth?"
I snap out of it. "Uh- yeah? Like I was saying you will really like it here." I said sounding so scripted. Chiron always makes me say that to make Half-Bloods feel welcome.
"You wasn't saying that..." He looks around really awkwardly, then laughs maybe even blushing a little.
"Right...." I look down at my feet, then back up at him my face as red as it could be. As I was looking at him blushing at me, I remembered what Piper had told me "I had a dream that a boy was going to arrive here, not just any boy... the boy. I don't know much about him or the dream, but it gave me a bad feeling." My eyes cleared from a flashback and the redness had left my face. "I have to go... I have to get ready for your Bon Fire tonight. See you tonight." Then I quickly left. I wanted to stay so much, but I knew it was a bad idea.
I could only think about one thing for the next two hours, nothing could shake the thought, what had Piper meant? "Not just any boy... the boy." My mind was like a broken record playing over and over.
Finally I met up with Piper as always we sat in our usual seats the highest seats in the bleachers to the left. As we sat there I felt guilty because I know why we are here and I'm not telling Piper. She would usually understand because that's my job, but this is different once she sees Percy she's going to realize he's the boy in her dream. He just arrived and Chiron made it seem like he had a lot of power.
"Don't you just hate these Bon Fires?" Pipes said in a playful way rubbing her shoulder with mine. "I swear Chiron just has these when he has no other plans." She laughs
"Ha, yeah they are the worst." I replied as I brushed my hair behind my ear. Suddenly Chiron requests silence. As he did I looked at Piper with the worst feeling in my stomach and guilt on my face, because not only am I lying to her and keeping a secret I think I actually like Percy which if she knew she would hate me. How could someone like him give her a bad feeling?
Chiron's voice pulls me back to reality. He's standing in the middle of the field in front of the Bon Fire facing all of us, the fire has already been lit I must have been too distracted to notice when he lit it.
Chiron clears his throat as he starts
"The reason I have called you here tonight is because every once and a while we come upon a demigod or one stumbles upon us, no matter, but as you know we've recently not been getting any new comers..." He paused.
"Until now." As he said that he pointed to the darkness when he did Percy appeared out of the shadows walking towards Chiron. Before Chiron introduces Percy by name, I took a quick glance over at Piper to finally see her reaction when she seen Percy for the first time in real life not just in a dream, but her reaction had not changed at all.
I elbowed Piper and whispered "Is that the guy from your dreams?"
Interrupted by a screaming in the distance before she can answer.
Everyone looks and from the opposite end of the field comes another boy, I've never seen before, running towards Chiron. Everyone jumps up in a panic except Piper I look down at her and she looks rattled, something's wrong "Piper?!" I demand.
Piper stands up looking at the strange boy "No, but he is...."
