maxx's pov.
cody carson. the most beautiful person to ever exist in the whole entire universe. and i'm the luckiest guy on earth to know him; to be his best friend.
and though i have that massively amazing privilege...
..i've always wanted to be more.
but unfortunately, cody doesn't see me in that way. he's straight, and i'm a closeted homosexual. it's sad, he's constantly talking to me about how pretty girls are. sometimes, he'll even talk to me to ask for advice on how to get a girlfriend, and it really crushes my heart. i've fallen so hard for him, i can't seem to take my eyes off him.
luckily for me, no one's noticed how my cheeks heat up when he enter's the room.. or how flustered i get and start to stutter when he talks to me, he just thinks it's a natural stutter but something about him gives me butterflies, therefore causing a slight error in forming my words.
everything's just so perfect about him. his hair, his voice, his face, his eyes, his nose, his lips, he structure.. he's out of my league. it's unbelievable how much of an absolute angel he is, meanwhile i look like the spawn of satan. he's just.. incredible. i love him so much, but i'm just setting myself up for heartbreak..
...because i know he'll never feel the same way about me, because he doesn't like guys...

i snapped back into reality when everyone who was sat on the sofa were looking at me, snickering at my flustered cheeks, especially cody. i cleared my throat of embarrassment as i had realised everyone had arrived and i didn't even notice. everyone included dallon and brendon too, which was surprising because they're always late to everything.
josh giggled and pointed in my direction, "maxx is thinkin' 'bout his crush! i bet their a guy." he laughed out, but i was sat wondering 'is it really that obvious?'
everyone snickered, tyler nudging josh, mumbling to him something like 'don't make assumptions josh, he's straight.'
it would be so much easier if i told them..
...but then again; my obsession over cody would be really obvious.
...why is this so difficult..?
