Hey stud tall and strong, he was well built with broad shoulders and shaggy black hair. His thick husky voice had a draw to it when he spoke . All right I've been around a long time and I know you're not just a coyote now shifted while I'm still in my mood
I wasn't ok with the though of being naked in front of a man personally the though mad me feel sick. But the way he spoke left no room for a discussion. So I shifted and tried to hide as much of me as possible which wasn't hard because my long hair did all the work. To my surprise when I looked up at him he was looking away from me and at anything else but my nakedness

I'm Lucas Thatcher and what is a coyote shifted doing in this part of the country?

He raised an I brow waiting for my response like he had some place to be in a hurry . I signed looking up at him, I live near by and I was just going for a run so if you don't mind . But I do mind he said with a matter of fact tone in his voice . Isn't it a little cold for your kind up here ? I'm not meaning any offense sweetheart but don't your kind like warmer weather ? we don't get any coyotes up here vary much and if we do they die during the winter. I looked up at him from my sitting position on the ground. I don't mind the cold I grew up in Montana I've gotten used to it and plus you're alpha knows I'm here I'm not stepping on anyone's toes . he must have thought that was funny because he threw back his head and laughed a thick snerling sound that sounded more animal than man . Honey my alpha don't let anyone in unless there's a good reason. With that said his eyes finally looked at me and scanned me over . But not in a lustfull way , In a way that said he was reading my body language looking to see what he could find out and I new what he would find what everyone would see when they looked at me.

A broken woman that had nothing left to give. That had everything taken from her they would see The emptiness in my eyes and everything that I tried to hide. He saw it I could see it in his eyes behind the swirls of dark blue, light blue , gray every bit of everything I didn't want him to.

We broke eye contact and he scratched the side of his jaw with his burly hands that where covered with calluses from hard work over the years.
His sighed had brought my attention back to him. I have interrupted you run and your kill so let's hunt. He wasn't asking to go, he was telling me he was going . I could see a dark and wildness about him, And the way he spoke sounded like he was a lot older than he looked. He was going to make up for making me lose my kill I could see it in his eyes he wasn't going to let me get out of this . Until he repaid his debt, that's how some of the old ones are they don't like owing people .

I didn't like the idea of a strange crazy ass werewolf hunting behind me or in front of me . He could decide that he didn't want the food we were hunting . He wanted the tasty coyote in front of him it spooked me just as much as everything else here lately but what choice do I have it's not like he was going to just let me walk away and back to my cabin. Old wolves there iffy one minute they'll be fine and the next they're trying to rip your head off your shoulders and eat you for lunch just because you looked at them wrong. So yes I was going to hurt with him. that might have been a stupid decision on my part , but here lately I've been making stupid decisions so why not a couple more.

I shifted I stepped back letting him have the lead I wasn't going to have my back to a wolf especially crazy one. he went through the woods over fallen trees the woods seem to get thicker and thicker the deeper you went. But finally the trees broke into a meadow .you could hear a river nearby the water sounds echoed through the trees like whispers I could hear animals scampering across the snow-covered ground. Lucas sent me a low growl vibrating out of his chest. It snapped me out of my thoughts to pay attention to my surroundings there was a herd of deer feeding on the grass sticking out of the snow in the meadow. They were much bigger pray then I was used to taking on but the wolf seem to know that. Because he was stalking towards flock of deer with no hesitation no worries like he did this multiple times before. And he had werewolves can take down bear bigger than they are so flock of deer wouldn't bother him.

When he got close enough he lunged himself off the ground and seeking his teeth into the deers throat . snapping it faster than you can blink and then he when for the others with quick lightning fast speed but they already saw it coming they started running when their friend hit the ground. He took down three good size bucks but the others got away which is fine three bucks would feed one coyote and a very big werewolf and then some .I knew not to walk up on someone else's pray cuz they would attack you . If you didn't have permission from the one that caught the pray in the first place. So I waited , I laid down on the snow cover the ground put my feet underneath me and lay my head on my paws and watched while Lucas wolf ripped into the delicious smelling buck make my mouth water. In no time Lucas wolf head nodded me forward letting me know is okay that I come and joined him. Feasting on the Dead deer carcass dripping sweet delicious blood I ripped into it with my teeth enjoying the taste on my tongue ravaging in the feast. I never had dear myself I wasn't big enough to take down such a big animal . So I enjoyed it eating as much as I could because I knew I wasn't going to be able to hunt something like this on my own

When I were finished. I laid down underneath the tree curled into a ball let sleep take me. I knew it was wrong to fall asleep with a predator higher up on the food chain than I was . just a couple feet in front of me still eating his fill . I guess part of me didn't care I was tired and hadn't slept in weeks tossing and turning because of the nightmares. And now finally I was tired, I felt my eyelids getting heavy dark peaceful slumber trying to take me and yet felt peaceful so relaxed I feel safe in the woods so I let sleep take me and if I didn't wait up tomorrow then I take that consequence gladly .
