CHAPTER 21:

“So this is what you wanted, so that you tell Zack's so called secret?" I rolled my eyes, hiding how surprised i felt.

“I told ya. You totally have the wrong picture of me" he smiled taking a sip from the cup of coffee he held. We were sitting on the front of his black jeep watching the amazing view of New York. Drinking my coffee, i looked at him and crunched my forehead “don't think that I'll forget why we came here".

“oh i thought you did" he laughed but stopped when he saw me NOT laughing.

“okay. So about Zack huh. Well its just something i heard from others..." He stopped narrowing his eyes at the view. “well you know Ashle—".

“The school bit*h. Who doesn't".

He laughed again but continued “well.. Maybe you know that Zack wanted to go to a sports college. And Ashley's parents are rich. Surprisingly richer than mine. Anyways. Her dad knows the head of the Sun Sports College. And when his little daughter wanted Zack to be her new play mate. The dad couldn't deny his only daughter's wish. So he called Zack to his house and offered him that he would talk to the college to give him a place for next year IF he would date or better said be her toy. And Zack obviously excepted. Who wouldn't.. And s—" he stopped when i interrupted.

“And so he dated her WHILE dating me. He didn't want to end the relationship between us but also not deny the offer. Even when i found out that he was cheating, He did not come to me. Because Ashley told him not to. Am i... Getting this right?" I lifted up my head to look at Hunter's eyes.

Surprisingly i saw a warm smile on his face that calmed me a little from shivering.

“yes" he nodded. “Then you both broke up. After a little while being with Ashley he regrettet breaking up with you. So he went up to her dad and rejected his offer. In anger, his dad used his connection to get him out of our school. Thats when he transferred school and you went to Hawaii for a vacation". i breathed hard to get all this things in my head.

And all this time i thought i was the heart broken one, when it was Zack who had to go through so much. I tried holding in my tears but couldn't. I sobbed, even though feeling quite embarrassed. What happened next surprised me the most.

Hunter stood up from the car and came infront of me. He slowly wiped off my tears with his finger and pulled me in for a hug. I was heatbroken, shocked, confused and shivering, so I really needed a hug. Even if it was a hug from Hunter.

Without pushing him back, i closed my eyes as he tightened his arms around me. Suddenly he moved his one hand, tugged some of my hair behind my ear and wisphered “see, I'm not that bad!". When he heard no answer back from me, he put his hand back to that tight, warm hug.

I really am an idiot. I misunderstood Hunter and also made things hard on Zack while he suffered.

On the Drive back home, i was strugling with my own thoughts "should i see Zack and talk to him?".
