Gerard's pov:

I woke up as usual, with hot pink hair in my face and someone lying on me. He snored softly, pulling me closer. That's when I noticed, his mascara was everywhere, like he had been crying.

Crying?....Why would he cry??

Gee why would you cry?..

He sniffled in his sleep, I knew I'd have to ask him later. But for now, I just wanted to let him sleep.

I tiptoed to the kitchen, making coffee, grabbing my sketchpad and pencil before returning to my room.

Line after grey line, shading, sketching, erasing. I sketched for what felt like hours, turns out it was only an hour and a half.

But in that hour and a half, I had finished four cups of coffee and a rough sketch of Gee curled up, sleeping. I put the sketch away, I would finish it later.

"Gerard?"

I turned, hearing a small soft voice.

Gee stared at me, his eyes wide and bright. I smiled, he stood up and walked over to me.

"Hey, what are you up to this early?"

"Nothing..Just drinking coffee."

"Mm...How did it go with Frank last night?"

I shrugged, and followed him to the kitchen. He gave me a look as he poured himself some coffee.

"What about you?"

I asked, he looked so worn out just over night.

Did something happen? Maybe him and Fronk are fighting or something.

"What about me?"

"You seem a bit...Off...Today..Are you okay?"

"I'm okay, don't worry about it sweetheart."

He smiled a little, but still it was a bit off. It looked forced or fake, I eyed him a bit.

Whatever it is, maybe I shouldn't push it. I don't think prying it from him will help.

And after that, he didn't talk to me much. I walked over to him and looked him dead in the eyes, he gave me a wide eyed  what-the-fuck-are-you-doing expression as I reached over and hugged him. He hugged back almost immediately, he begun to pull away but I pulled him back.

"Gee if something is wrong, just tell me. Okay? Don't sit there and wallow in misery, just say something. Okay?"

He smiled a real smile this time, he pulled back and ruffled my hair.

"Thanks babydoll, but I'm really fine."

"Well just know that, okay?"

"Okay."

His smile faded, I sipped my coffee and tried to avoid the awkward atmosphere. Though, it was nearly impossible to. It was almost bad enough to cause me to physically shudder.

As I was just about to get up, Gee grabbed my arm. I looked back at him, seeing the little bit of sadness slipping from behind the forced slight smile he gave.
