"I swear to God I'm going to kill him one day." She swore in the mask of a hush as she continued to stroll down the brightly organised aisle. The conversation still roaming on her screen, only taunting her.
Jungkook
Hi Em :)Emily
Hello JungkookJungkook
Are you at the supermarket right now???Emily
Yes I am. Why do you ask?Jungkook
Do you think you could buy me some more meat? :) I'll love you forever <33This was slowly evolving into a regular routine. No longer was she solemnly greeted by Yoongi's morning texts, but rather a colony of Jungkook's texts, the whine of his voice manifesting into her senses.
Emily
Fine, but this isn't all for free. You're going to have to pay me backJungkook
YES <3333 of course I'll pay you back. THANK YOULetting the phone descend back into her jumper's pouch, she wrapped her fingers around the trolly's ornamented handle bars. Pushing with a sigh as she strolled to the butchers' den.
"Oh hi Emily." The vintage specimen of Yoongi smiled as the girl drew closer to the clear counter top. "Hi Hyungi." She smiled back, eyes lurking over the garnet stained flesh left on display.
"What can I do to help?" Asked Hyungi, still through a smile, Emily biting her lip as she knew the inevitable fact that the miniature sachets of chicken were no longer going to meet with Jungkook's demands.
"I need chicken—a whole one." She replied, already planning the lie to the question she saw dance in the older man's pupils. "I can do that for you. What exactly has got you needing a whole one?" His voice pronounced as he retreated to the hidden storage room. "You doing something special for your brother's return?" He guessed.
She hummed in response, trying to hide the mask of shock that crept on her face when he predicted her white lie. "Yeah... e-exactly."
Swathing the fresh meat, he shared different foreign cuisines for her to attempt, nodding and smiling in response to his continuous conversing. "Well, I have to go now. It was nice seeing you, Hyungi." She grinned, still trying to conceal her desperation to escape his sweet, lingering talks. Edging from the counter, transposing from the scene, she found herself impacting with the overlaying links of silver-like metal.
"Emily." A voice breathed out before the girl could beckon a single word of an apology.
Jane Foster.
Sofia's older step-sister. Inferno hair left grazed in a bob, repugnant to the white lace of her skin. Freckles spread across her skin like lost constellations. Similarities in deficit when comparing the two girls. Sofia being the cool wash of saline waters crashing into golden coasts. Jane being the inapt blaze that burned in a colosseum of snow.
"Jane. H-how have you been? I-I couldn't help but hear about Sofia." Emily tried to console, removing herself from the snatching fingers of her trolley. Venturing onto continuing in her anxiety fuelled speech, Jane brought herself as a blockade to her verbal flood. "Please, Emily. You really don't need to."
"It's funny how I ran into you just when I needed to talk to you." She started to begin, the glum look being banished from her features, still not being evicted from her emerald eyes. "I was wondering if Nathaniel would be coming back for the funeral next week?" She puzzled.
