"Jungkook! Wake up!" A voice rang in his ears as reality faded back into his eyes. Light flooding harshly into his eyes as he felt the scents of the room running through his senses manifest as a taste on his tongue.

Blood.

It was all he could smell.

As his pupil controlled the light that ran through his eye, the blinding light faded, revealing only another world of crimson. His whole body painted in the deadly pigment.

Just as he examined his hands, he remembered what he had done.

Her now distant cries echoing from his memory. Her lifeless eyes still blinded with brine. Her heart no longer following the melody of living.

She was gone.

And it was all his fault.

"Jungkook! What happened?" Yoongi interrupted, barely returning Jungkook to the present as the blood ran in streams across the cold floor. "Jungkook!" He called out again, pulling him back and forth to break the daze of the boy.

"I-I—." The tears broke his speech like glass. His body shattering into a million pieces.

"I-I killed h-her... I-I k-killed E-Emily." He admitted.

Any thought was banished from the older's mind. A blank canvas of an expression present on his face as Jungkook's tears fell like the early Spring rains. Heavy and showing no signs of concluding.

"B-But... y-you had c-chains ho—." He tried to expel his illusion, yet by the blood that had settled on the boy and the room, he knew he was telling the truth. "N-Nathaniel... he-he must of taken them o—." Jungkook interjected, only to be met with his own turmoil.

Collapsing into tears.

Yoongi observed the boy for a moment. Not putting himself through hesitation as he wrapped his arms around him. Jungkook's body rising and falling as sniffles and muted cries erupted from him.

As Yoongi drew his hand up and down, all Jungkook could feel was his heart become more plasmolysed. No longer having Emily fill it up with her presence. The only thing that saturated it was guilt, only seeming to make his blood thicker with the stigma.

It was all his fault.

If only he could have controlled himself.

If only he could have helped her escape.

If only he had realised Nathaniel was the one behind this all.

If only he hadn't gone to the school that morning.

If only.

"Hey, Yoongi. We—." Namjoon's voice emerged, his body slipping down the stair case. Pausing as he saw the scene of heart break and blood.

The elder snapped back to face him, seeing his lost look run through the landscape of crimson. "What is it Namjoon?" He puzzled.

"I-I... well... we found Emily's phone upstairs. She recorded Nathaniel's confession of being the original cursed." Clarified Namjoon, earning himself Yoongi's undivided attention.

"I have a plan to stop him and turn us back human." He said.

It was like the morning it all started again.

Dawn collapsing in on the small town of Greenville, the eager rays of the sun spilling into the sky as the group invaded the borders of the school. Pairs of eyes frantically searching the shadowed masked corridors, awaiting the devil birthed eyes of Nathaniel to appear.
