A Day Out To Meet An Old Friend

I stretched lazily in the morning sun. It was nice out today, even if it's a little cold. The sky was clear, the sun was bright, and the wind calm. A perfect day for what I had planed for us. We were going out to a secluded area in the woods that surrounded my home. Up on a rocky hill filled with caves lives an old friend of mine.

I checked the small alarm clock I had on the night stand. It read that it is 7:30 am. In about an hour I am going to receive a very peculiar package. That left me with just enough time to eat the delicious breakfast I can smell from up here.

I has been about three days since Ivan has moved in and his over protectiveness has reached a whole new level. I wasn't allowed to stretch to reach anything up high. He accompanied me both up and down the stairs. I can't even cut my own food any more. He just hands me a plate with the meal pre cut.

I can understand his overprotectivness to some degree. He doesn't want anything to fall on me when I stretch to reach something. Stairs are pretty dangerous in general if you slip, so I can tolerate that. Especially when I get larger and my balance pretty much goes out the window. The cutting up my food thing, however, is going to have to stop. They are cute gestures, and I really do appreciate the effort he is putting in, but their is a line.

I haven't tried to talk to him about it yet, because I know he is just excited and will calm down in a few days. He then should stop Russian mother hening me. If not, then I'll talk to him about it. But for the time being I'll enjoy the royalty like treatment. It's not everyday that someone waits on me hand and foot.

I got out of my warm, comfortable bed about ten minutes later with one final stretch. I figured that breakfast should be done right about now. Knowing that we'll be hiking today I picked out warm clothes. A warm pair of black jeans. A pair of fuzzy socks (shut up, they are manly). A thick undershirt and a warm, dark blue sweater.

Before I put on the shirts I checked myself in the full length mirror. I wasn't deathly thin any more, though I was still on the thin side of healthy. It had me a little worried, so I've been eating more to compensate. My weight wasn't my focus today, however.

Instead I was looking for a sign of the life that was growing in me. From the front I couldn't really see a noticeable difference. I turned to look at me from the side. I could just barely see a bump forming. I gently pressed my fingers against the small bump to see if it was only fat. A smile made it's way to my face when I felt the firmness of it.

I quickly put on my shirts and sped walked to the top of the stairs. I shouted down them so he could hear me. "Ivan, I'm at the stairs! I'm coming down!"

"I'll be there in a moment!" He shouted back.

I sat on the stairs and started to butt scoot down. "I'm coming down anyway!" While I do tolerate his behavior it is still fun to mess with him. His 'I'm angry at you, but can't really do anything about it' face is just priceless, each and every time.

"Fredka!" He shouted coming around the corner and into my line of sight. Ah, that look of frustration was just amazing. "I told you I was going to be here in a moment." He hissed.

"Well, I wanted down now." I purred, trying to lay the cute on thick. He rolled his eyes in mild annoyance and helped me down the stairs. "I appreciate the fact that you don't want me hurt, but come on. I navigated the stairs just fine before you knew I was pregnant. I'm in no danger of falling down them for now." I said a bit annoyed and slightly amused. We had reached the bottom of the stairs by now and were heading to the kitchen.

"But what if you do? What if you miss placed a step? Or one of the cats rush up the stairs? Anything can happen to you, and I don't want that to happen." He argued back, a hint of worry in his voice.
