Hanging by a Moment Here With You

Chapter 6

"언니 괜찮아요?" Eunice spoke softly as she kneeled next to the couch that Lillian was asleep on.

"뭐?" Lillian stirred then rubbed her eyes. "Hey. What going on?"

"I wanted to see if you were ok."

"Yeah why?"

"Because it's 11:30 and you never sleep past 8." Eunice lay down next to Lillian on the couch.

"Is it really? Wow I did not expect to sleep that late. But," she looked at Eunice and smiled. "I did go to bed at 4 this morning."

"What? Why?"

Handing Eunice her phone Lillian answered her. "I was up texting Donghae all night. You can look at the texts, I know you want to." She smirked.

As Eunice scrolled through the texts she smiled. Suddenly the phone started ringing. "언 니." She showed Lillian the phone. The number that was listed as calling was the vacation rental.

"Hmm. Wonder if everything is ok." She gave Eunice a curious look before sitting up and picking up the phone. "Hello?"

"여보세요? Lillian?"

"Heechul?"

"예. What are you up to?"

Lillian furrowed her brow. "Did you guys not go to Disneyland today?"

"No we were all too tired today. In fact, a few of the guys are still asleep. So, what are you up to today?"

Lillian looked at Eunice and lightly put her hand over the phone and spoke softly. "Do we have anything planned today?"

Before Eunice could respond they, both heard Heechul speak loudly though the phone. "Come over and hang out!" Both girls looked at each other with excitement in their eyes.

"You aren't sick of me yet?" Lillian asked anxiously.

"Well I am, of course but that's to be expected." His voice was dripping with sarcasm. "But the guys are still liking you so, what can I do?"

"Do they know you are inviting us over?"

"Sure." Heechul answered confidently.

Lillian raised her eyebrow at Eunice who could hear Heechul's reply. "Ok give us forty-five minutes and we will be there. Oh, and will you let me cook for you guys?"

"You cook?"

"You will find out. See you soon." Right as Lillian hung up her and Eunice stood up, grabbed each other's hands and joyfully jumped around the front room together.

After both girls got showered and ready, they got in Eunice's car and headed down to the vacation rental in Anaheim.

Heechul was waiting for them at the door when they pulled up. He waved them in.

When the walked in the house both girls noticed the house was strangely quiet. "I thought you said everyone was here."

"Most everyone is out back in the pool. Come on." As he led them through the bedroom into the back Lillian noticed someone stirring in one of the twin beds.

"Heechul." She whispered to him. "I thought everyone would be up. Who is still asleep?"

Not bothering to notice the two sleeping figures in the room Heechul answered louder than normal. "Oh yeah Shindong and Donghae are still asleep. But if they don't get up soon," he got louder and faced the direction of the beds while he talked. "They will miss out on everything."

Eunice and Lillian scurried out the sliding back door to leave Heechul on his own in case the boys woke up angry. As they walked out, they heard a yell and a splash. Turning toward the pool they saw Siwon's head bob out of the water.

"Eunice! Lillian!" he exclaimed, pulling himself up from out of the pool. "I'm glad you're here! Did you happen to bring your suits?"

"Um sure," Lillian stammered, trying her best to keep her eyes focused on Siwon's face. But even then, she still caught a glimpse of his abs in her peripheral. Her cheeks started to burn, which only got worse when Eunice nudged her and waved to Leeteuk, who was also in the pool. The wave was weak, but it was all Eunice could muster looking at the man she had crushed on for years, now standing shirtless in the shallow end of the pool.
