A/N: Starting after this chapter I am writing another story that will be connected to this one. It is not necessary to read both, but there will be parts in the other one that wont be mentioned in this one.
When I post that one I will mention it in chapters for this story. I do hope you read it though, so far it's pretty good in my humble opinion lol.
Thanks again for reading this story as well.
Lillian sat down, leaning her back up against the wall, all the time keeping her hand on Shindong's back. "You don't have to say anything, just know I'm here."
He spoke softly. "I didn't know you were in town." Slowly turning around, Lillian got a good look at his face. When she did her heart dropped.
His cheeks were a bright pink and his eyes were swollen. Remnants of tears could be seen on his face, and his lips were bone dry. Lillian wanted to hug him but wasn't sure if that's what he wanted. They were comfortable with each other but not close enough where she could read him well.
She found herself putting her hand on his shoulder. He covered it with his own and wiped his eyes roughly with his other hand. "What are you doing here?"
"I was going to get the guys some coffee." She answered him plainly.
This made him chuckle quietly. "I meant what are you doing here in Seoul."
She laughed a little. "Oh. Well I came to see you of course."
He rolled his eyes. "Yeah right." Chuckling again, he squeezed her hand tightly. "You said you were getting coffee for everyone? There is no way you could possibly carry them all. Let me help."
"You don't think I can manage carrying let's see..." She started to count on her fingers. "Eleven drinks?" Her face contorted making Shindong laugh again.
"Most certainly not." Standing up, he reached down to help her up. As soon as she was upright, he quickly hugged her and whispered in her ear. "Thank you."
Kissing his cheek before separating she gave him an encouraging smile. They walked to the coffee kiosk in silence, Lillian stealing glances at him every so often. His face was returning to its normal color.
Shindong noticed her looking and spoke up. "I'm ok. But, please," he pleaded with her. "Don't mention this to anyone. And before we go back, can I have a few minutes to clean myself up."
Nodding as they approached the kiosk, she turned her attention to the barista. "Hi. Ten americanos and two lattes please. The barista acknowledged her order and got started.
"Go ahead and get cleaned up, I will wait on the drinks." She smiled at Shindong, motioning him to go to one of the nearby restrooms.
They walked back to the studio together, Lilian trying to tell a few funny stories to get Shindong in a better mood. She knew if he remained as is, one of the boys was bound to notice. The stories worked because by the time they made it to the studio he was noticeably happier.
"Look who I found wandering around outside." Lillian said as soon as they entered the studio.
"Ooh, coffee, yes!" A few of the guys shouted and grabbed coffees from Lillian and Shindong.
"I'm feeling very loved over here." Shindong said sarcastically to Lillian.
Eunhyuk came up and laid his hand on Shindong's shoulder. "You should. You ready to sing?"
Shindong headed to the recording booth as Donghae approached Lillian. "I'm done for the day, want to get out of here?"
With a weird look on her face she answered him. "I do, but I really want to stay and hear Shindong sing. Can we?"
