Hanging by a Moment Here With You

Chapter 21

"Yesung!" Both girls yelled as soon as they saw him standing against a pole in the baggage claim area of JFK airport. He motioned for them to keep their voices down as they approached him. "Are we embarrassing you?" Lillian asked sarcastically.

"Yes."

"That's what your 누나 is for." Lillian grabbed him in a hug, immediately followed by Eunice. 

"Eunice it has been a long time." She nodded in agreement with Yesung. "I wish you could have come with Lillian when she visited Korea a few weeks ago." He cleared his throat. "Might make this trip a little less awkward for you." 

Lillian playfully hit him in the shoulder. 

 "Maybe." The mood changed quickly. Eunice held onto Lillian as they walked out to a parked van outside the airport, a determined look on her face. 

When they were in front of the van, the sliding door opened to reveal Heechul and Kyuhyun. Lillian had little interaction with Kyuhyun when she was in Korea, but the time they did spend together was enjoyable. He was the true little brother she had imagined him to be. She couldn't wait to introduce him to Eunice. From the moment she met him she knew that he and Eunice would get along well. And as someone who cared a lot about his 형, Kyuhyun would want to help Leeteuk be happy as much as Eunice wanted to. 

Both men jumped out of the van and gave Lillian a hug. Heechul picked Eunice's petite frame off the ground and embraced her. "We have a lot to talk about 여동생." (Younger sister) 

"Eunice, this is Kyuhyun." Lillian nudged him forward as Eunice extended her hand. 

"I have heard a lot about you. I'm glad you came." He shook her hand and smiled. Motioning for the girls to get in the van, he addressed the group. "So, the concert starts at 8:30 and we need to be there by 6. I arranged for the girls to get picked up around 7:15 to be taken to the venue." 

Lillian smiled at him. "I'm glad you're helping us, Kyu. I don't think we would be able to do this without you." 

"I owe Leeteuk my life. After the accident he is what kept me going." His voice was very serious. "I would do anything for him. Plus," his tone lightened. "between Donghae, Eunhyuk, Yesung and Heechul I feel like you're part of the family now, I have to hear about you so much." He laughed. 

Lillian's heart swelled until she realized that he didn't mention Leeteuk. She looked at Eunice, hoping she hadn't noticed. Yesung was thinking the same thing. He turned to Eunice. "Leeteuk is very private. He does mention you, but only with the oldest ones in the group, me, Heechul and of course Donghae." 

Eunice put her head down. Tired of being patient Heechul spoke up. "Ok, since we get very little information from Leeteuk, what is going on? Are you dating, just talking, are you official? What??" 

Lillian shot him an angry glare. "Do you have any tact?" 

Heechul gave her a stern look in return. Before he could say anything, Eunice brought her head up and sighed "Lillian it's ok, I expected this. We do talk a lot. He has said a few things but nothing concrete. I can tell he is scared. He worries about so much. I feel bad because I should be the last thing he should be worried about. Regarding Leeteuk, I am all in. I mean it. All in. And I have only told Lillian this but," she looked around at all their anxious faces. "I'm in love with him." 

All the boys got goofy grins on their faces as they said "aww" in unison. "Have you told him?" Yesung asked. 

"No. But I decided to be more like Heechul on this trip. I had an idea and I will need your help for it." Her voice changed from concerned to determined. "Everyone else knows we are here except Teukkie and Donghae right?"
