POV: Annabeth

I take the bus back to camp all the way worrying about Percy. How could I just leave him alone in the restaurant like that what if a monster came, it's one thing to sneak out of camp and another to leave the person you went with alone. No Percy is and will be fine he has handled so many monsters, but what about me? I look around the bus, no one jumps out at me as being a monster but I don't let my gaurd down.

Finally it's my stop and I slip off the bus careful not to do anything that could draw attention to me but it's to late. Just as I'm about to get off the bus I see a tall man stand up from his seat and slowly lumber towards the exit. I rush trying to get away but I trip on my shoe lace and stumble down the stairs lucky that I didn't land flat on my face. I scramble up and try to run but the monster picks me up and exaimins me with his eyes, no that not right, I squint and the mist clears revealing his one singular gigantic eye.

"You smell like half god, not as good as goat man but still tasty enough for me." He grumbles in his deep and idiotic voice  like a toddler that went through puberty early. I silently wish for Percy to come save me but I know it's impossible since I pushed him away. I had to be the one to save myself. I swing my legs up and stick my feet right into his gigantic eye triggering my gag reflexes.

"You can do this without vomiting Annabeth, I believe in you." I mumble to myself trying to sound convincing. I pull my feet out of his eye before they could go more than ankle deep. He drops me and stumbles back but before he can even attempt to blindly swing at me I pull out my  dagger and stab him in the leg. He moans in pain but is cut short by an arrow now protruding from his chest. He staggers and dissintegrates into dust.I turn around wondering who my saviour is.

"Chiron?" I lower my head in embarrassment. Of all the people who could have helped me it had to be the one who will also punish me.

"I've been going easy on you but I think this is the end of it, I can't be the reason you get killed by a monster especially not while doing something stupid."

"I'm so sorry Chiron." I say disappointed in myself for not thinking and blindly following Percy's lead.

"No I'm the sorry one Annabeth. Two months of bathroom cleanup, your cabin mates may join you if they so choose to but they are not obligated to." He looks down at me solemnly and passes me a note that reads:

"Despite going out of camp and running into a monster you handled the situation well. You're learning quickly, I'm proud.

-Chiron

P.S. head over to the big house for a checkup with Will."

POV: Will Solace

I'm just adjusting my testing equipment when Annabeth walks in. Her hair is messy, her face is unnaturally pale and she has cuts and bruises all over her legs not to mention one big one under her kneecap that looks like it will need stitches.

"Wow, slow down there before you get blood all over the place. I thought you where just heading over here for a brain checkup." I remark.

"I was and then I ran into a cyclops heading back into camp." She starts to slur her words and she slows down a little bit obviously dizzy.

"Well it looks looks like you Will Solace need a doctor." I laugh.

"Not funny Will not funny." She mutters.

"Don't you worry I'm right on that cut on your knee." I say sad that my jokes aren't being appreciated.

"What cut." She asks as her eyes start to flutter and her body stars leaning scarily to one side.

"Oh boy!" I exclaim as I catch her just in time. As I clean up her cut and do the stitches I realize how much easier it is to work on a motionless  body. Maybe I should become a forensic pathologist then I would always be working with not moving bodies I joke with myself darkly.

Soon after I've finished, have force fed her ambrosia and am getting out my equipment for the brain tests Annabeth wakes up.

"Hey sleepy head, I patched up that knee of yours and cleaned your cuts now it's time to run some tests." I inform her.

"Great" she moans groggily but before she can start to complain I put the device on her head and start scanning.

"Thiiisiss feeellss funnynyny." She tells me her voice vibrating. I almost pee my pants laughing at her.

"Whyyyy aarere yyou laaughghing." She wonders but I can't respond because I'm laughing to hard so I just point at her head that's bobbing up and down. She frowns at me and narrows her eyes but before she can rip my guts out the machine beeps signaling that it's done. I remove it and Nico walks in.

"Hey sunshine." He smiles at me. Ever since we started dating he's been a lot different, well I mean as different as he can be while still being a child of Hades. He pulls me into his arms and kisses me gently on the lips which Annabeth rudely interrupts.

"Excuse me, I get that you're having a moment and all but can you finish up my appointment first." She says annoyed.

"Oh, uh sorry I'm done you can go now." I reply sheepishly. Annabeth rolls her eyes making sure I can see before leaving.  Nico and I hold each other in our arms and stare into each others eyes.

"Want to head over to my cabin where people can't disturb us." He whispers to me.

"Absolutely." I respond a hint of a smile in his eyes.

"That wasn't a question but I like your enthusiasm." He says cheekily.

"Let's hope coach hedge doesn't catch us." I warn grinning at him.

"Relax, you don't have to be so worried all the time." He tells me mockingly. But just as we are walking out something on the brain scanner I used for Annabeth catches my eye.

"Sorry Neecs, the tests on Annabeth's brain must be done." He looks worried but he lets go of hand so that I can go check it out.

"I'll be waiting at my cabin. Don't be to late." He says and kisses me softly on the cheek.

"Now who's  the one who needs to relax." I chuckle.

"Bye, love you." He smiles easing up a bit.

"Love you too." I mumble back but my attention is already on the scanner. My stomach knots as I read it. I pick up the big house phone and dial the number of Annabeth's secret cell phone. She picks up right a way.

"Hey Will, is something wrong?"

"Um, ya you could say that"
