POV: Percy

"Hey Percy, last night you seemed sad? And trust me I'm your mom I know when you're upset."

"It's nothing I just felt down about me and Annabeth's situation."

After a long pause my mom breaks the silence "you know why me and Paul named her Hestia?"

"I don't know, because she's a Greek goddess?" I wonder.

"Yes but more than that. She's the only god that is kind and peaceful and truly cares about more than herself." She explains.

"What does this have to do with Annabeth and me."

"Oh nothing I just thought you might like know that."

Before I can say anything more though the landline in the kitchen rings.

"You still have that phone!" I laugh but my mom has already left the room to go answer it.

After not very long she calls from the other room that it's Annabeth calling. My heart starts beating heavily in my chest. Annabeth never calls my home phone unless it's an emergency. I run to the kitchen and snatch the phone from my mom who looks thoroughly annoyed at me but I'm to worried to apologize.

"Annabeth! What's wrong?" I ask but the only response I get is the sound of crying on the other end.

"ANNABETH! Please, just tell me what's wrong you're starting to worry me!" I demand.

"Oh gods, Percy, where do I start?"

"Maybe try the beginning before I have a heart attack."

"Well, Will just called after he scanned my brain and this is pretty much his take away, the only way I can get my memory back is a miracle from the gods."

"Then I'll get you a miracle from the gods, I'll do what ever it takes."

"Thanks. See you tonight? I mean if that's not to much to ask for with it being late and all."

"Not at all, count on it." I say before hanging up.

"Hey mom I'm heading back to camp, Anmabeth needs me." I inform her. My mom looks nervous but reluctantly nods.

"Be careful, I love you."

"Mom what do you think I'm leaving to do."

"I don't know something dangerous?"

"No, there's just been an update on Annabeths memory." I laugh.

"Well in that case I'll stop stressing."

"Love you too mom"

POV: Grover Underwood:

"Annabeth, Percy's here!" I shout to her as I watch him run towards Talia's tree.

"thank the gods" She sighs with relief. She runs over to the crest of the hill just as Percy has made his way to the tree.

"Percy, you made it finally."

"Finally? I rushed over here as fast as I could. You know what never mind I'm just glad I'm here now, are you ok?

"Am I ok?" She asks rhetorically "Percy I'm not going to get my memory back." Her eyes getting tearful.

"Annabeth, don't give up hope. The gods give miracles every once in a while....... don't they?" Percy says on the verge of completely losing it. I hate seeing my best friend like this and I can feel the tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Listen, I know your situation might look a little hopeless at the moment but I'll always be here for you." I reassure.

"No. We'll be here for you." Clarisse corrects as her and a group of her siblings step up beside me. Soon other campers start to join in aswell which turned into a big group hug. Although what's happening to Annabeth is awful the camp has never been stronger.

It's been a few hours and I'm at the big house talking with Chiron when Percy walks up to me.

"Thanks for the chat Grover, see you later" he says seeing Percy.

"Hey man, thanks a lot for what you did back there." He thanks me.

"Listen Percy I really meant it"

"Please just stop talking, you're going make me cry." He says as his eyes start to water. I laugh and pat him on the back pulling him into a hug. As I pull away I catch a glimpse of Will's test papers for Annabeth.

"Hey you want to look at them?" I say indicating the papers.

"It's like you read my mind" he chuckles. We ruffle through them looking at brain scans until finally we find his note page that explains all the sciency nonsense. We find something at the notion of the page that's helpful, the only way to help her is Gorgan's blood if prepared correctly. I turn to Percy to see a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

"Percy, no don't do it it's to risky and dangerous besides without a quest we can't do anything." I plead.

"Why not" he says as more of a statement than a question so much so that it gives me the impression that even if I give him good reasons not to there will be no changing his mind.
