I reached the red door with the label saying detention, and pulled it open. I gazed upon a small classroom with wooden desks and a group of kids seated in the back corner, along with a teacher sleeping with his legs kicked up on the table. I didn't fit in.I looked over to see a girl waving me over with a flick of her wrist, her black hair, cascading behind her from the movement, I slowly walked over and smiled. She looked up and smirked, her blue eyes sparkled with mischief.
"It's about time we have a new face here, my name's Luna." She said raising her hand to shake it.
"Olivia McAllister." I sighed, "But I prefer Liv."
I stuck my hand out and shook it firmly. She smiled and turned to her friends, I noticed her send them a secret look.
"You're a McAllister kid huh?" She said. If it was even possible, her smirk managed to widen, it was a little unnerving if I'm being honest.
"That's right." I squeaked. The other kids looked at me, I glanced at a guy running his hands through his disheveled blond hair, his green eyes were staring directly at me.
"What did a goody two shoes McAllister do to get in trouble." He asked, staring dead set at me. Strangely, I felt compelled to answer him. I think he knew it to, because a small smirk creeped over his face. Although he looked innocent, something told me that it was quite the opposite and to be wary of him. Even if he was a little cute.
"Nothing big, I just told a teacher to shove it up her ass because she woke me up." I shrugged sitting down in the empty chair.
They broke out in laughter and the blond smiled at me, I knew I've gained some kind of respect. Green eyes gazed over me with a small smile, taking in my appearance.
"The name's James." He said, lazily tossing his legs up and onto my chair, I didn't mind much since I had sat down backwards on the chair, "The king of pranks and blackmail." He did a small bow with his head and smiled. Actually he was a little more then slightly cute.
"If you give yourself a title, it makes you sound pathetic J." Luna muttered, causing the green eyed boy to glare and me to laugh under my breath.
"The girl with the red hair is Scarlett." He pointed to a girl with bright red hair and hazel eyes,
She smiled and nodded to which I returned. She seemed too nice to be in detention, "She has a tendency to prank the school, normally using fire, so the detention room is basically her second home." James explained casually. "Just between you and me, she's a bit of a pyromaniac." He whispered to me, making Scarlett scowl in his direction.
"The one with the stupid scowl on his face is Pearson." He nodded towards a boy with light brown hair and a small frown on his face. "He's really good at hacking the school system, or anything else for that matter."
The boy waved his fingers in a hello, a slight smile on his lips, then looked back down, scowling a bit more at James. I could tell there may have been some conflict in the past that wasn't fully resolved.
"The girl beside him is Violet." He pointed to a girl with ombré purple hair and almost shocking blue and grey eyes. "She may seem innocent, but teachers are terrified of her, no one really knows why." He explained smirking.
She looked up to the sound of her name, smiling brightly and waving before going back to her music. I smiled back, she didn't seem like the talkative type, which was fine by me, because I really wasn't either. I understood what he means now, she seemed almost too innocent, yet I had a feeling there was some things I didn't know. She seemed almost to comfortable in the detention room, like she was in there frequently.
