I looked up once again and despite my tear blurred vision, I saw the tall girl standing in front of me with her signature purple and blue eyes with thick black hair. I smiled and looked up fully,
"Hey Time Keeper." I rasped out quietly, smiling just a little bit.
She looked down at me and knelt, grabbing my chin with her hands.
"Is this a normal thing for you kid?" She asked calmly. "You know, crying alone in alleyway?"
I tilted my head in confusion at her almost random question. She smirked and replied, "Because crying in an abandoned alley at night isn't something us villains see every day after all, especially not two days in a row."
Seeing that I probably had a pretty bad day, she sat down in front of me and smiled, I smiled back gratefully
"What's the problem little McAllister." She asked intrigued. Her tone was curious yet cautious, like she wanted to know but didn't wanna push me to tell her.
I looked up confused and managed to rasp out, "If I'm a regular person, and a McAlister, why do you talk to me and not hold me ransom for money."
I immediately regretted my choice of words and winced. She looked at me in shock then began to laugh, I assumed that was a good sign.
"Honestly kid, I would lie if I said I didn't think about it." She paused and saw my face a little frightened.
"But I don't mind you. You're not as stuck up as the rest of your family, and you're not much of a threat to me." She smirked and punched my shoulder. "Besides, I may be a villain but I'm still a person, and I'm bored and your life seems to be entertaining."
We continued chatting for a while, about whatever came to mind. It didn't feel like talking with a cruel villain that destroyed lives, but a friend.
Finally, over an hour later my phone began to ring, I looked at the caller ID it was my mom finally, took her long enough, well longer then expected anyways.
Time Keeper looked at me smirking wickedly. "Hey what do you say about making giving them a little scare for hurting you?"I knew she was probably twisting her words into making it seem more in my favour then hers, that was one of her many talents. I couldn't help but agree, a small smile forming on my face too. She snatched the phone from my hands after telling me her plan, the plan was fool proof and ingenious.
"Hello Mrs. McAllister, it's Time Keeper." She said mischievously into my phone
I heard yelling on the phone and let out a small breath I didn't realize I was holding and relaxed.
"You're calling the Supers?" She dramatically gasped in fear as I snickered.
"Yes, yes, I'll drop her off." She paused, and a large menacing grin consumed her face. "Maybe." She laughed into the phone and even I will admit, I was terrified for a sec, until she winked and smiled, and it was in that moment I knew it was all an act and relaxed.
"Here's a deal." She started then held the phone away from her head, pushing mute.
"Hey kid, what kind of candy or chocolate do you want, you know comfort food for your family being a dick." She hissed at me.
