Her P.O.V
"Uhh..hi,"
She turned to her left to face him, smiling.
"Hi,"
"I'm uhh.."
"You're uhh?" She joked.
Which only caused him to like her more, her willingness to be herself as soon as she'd met him, who was a stranger to her.
He chuckled,
"Grayson.""I'm Lila, do I know you?"
He quickly shook his head,
"N-no, uhhh-" he shut his eyes."I'm not gonna say that anymore.."
She laughed, and nodded for him to go on.
"I just saw you and thought you were absolutely stunning...I hope this isn't too forward or anything, but...do you think I could maybe get your number or something?"
She made a face, and held up her left hand, showing off an engagement ring.
And my my my, I can't believe neither him or myself had seen that rock before. It was huge, hard to miss yet surprisingly we did.
I could just tell how he was feeling inside by the devastation on his face.
He didn't even dare look her in the eyes again, he felt so embarrassed. He'd wanted her so bad, and thought it was going well...until that ring got in the way.
"Oh...um, my bad. It was nice talking to you," he quickly said, walking out of the shop immediately.
I felt so bad for him.
As much as I wished I was in that girls position, I know how it feels for someone to not feel the same about you, or to reject you. All too well.
I wish I could've went after him, although the urge inside me wasn't hard to ignore. Considering I'd just ease dropped on his entire conversation with her, and he's probably caught me staring a thousand times. He probably thinks I'm a freak already.
But I can't help it, I've grown a strong liking to a guy I know barely anything about.
