Splatoon 2 Story: A human lives

Chapter 1 - Wake up

"Can't breath!" Cody Casper Exclaimed from his life pod. He kicked at the door and punched it, only nothing happened.

He kicked it again and the glass broke, some of it falling onto his face and cutting him. He ignored the pain and kicked again and again until the door was knocked open.

Gasping for air, Cody sat up in the life pod. It seemed he was in a forest, but it looked... strange.

There were no leaves, only strange slimy balls of slime. Cody poked one and it popped, showering him in something green and slimy.

"Ah!" Cody said, surprised by the sudden pop noise. He backed away from the tree and looked around.

It seemed everything was just slime trees for miles. Cody started off in one direction, hoping to find something that would take him to other humans.

He wandered off like this for a while, sometimes hearing voices that sounded like they were coming from underwater, but there were no water sources for a long while.

Other then that and the slime trees, everything seemed normal. Cody kept walking and walking when suddenly a sudden movement behind one of the slime trees startled him.

"Hello?" Cody said. "Is anyone there?" He heard the underwater voice again and then silence.

"Huh." He said to himself.

Something made a noise behind him and something hit him in the chest.

"Ow!" Cody complained. "Who did that?" He looked down to see the slimy stuff that had been on the tree earlier.

Something ran out in front of him and punched him in the chest, knocking the air out of him.

He fell to the ground and curled into a ball, trying to protect himself from the sudden attack, but everything still hurt.

Something was kicking him and he was slowly losing consciousness. He was kicked in the head and he blacked out.

Cody woke up in a cell. He looked around and sighed. "First day and I'm already in a cell." He lied down on the hunk of rock that was supposedly a bed and lied there until someone called him out.

"You. Little guy in the red." They said. "Who are you, I haven't seen you around here." Cody looked around, trying to find out who said that.

Someone was outside the cell. It was a female, but there was something off about her.

Her hair wasn't normal hair. It was like an octopuses tentacles. "What the hell are you?" Cody asked.

"Octoling." They replied. "What's an Octoling." Cody Asked.

The Octoling looked shocked. "You've never heard of an Octoling?" She Exclaimed.

"Nope. Never. Are you some kinda new species?" Cody asked. "Nah, we've been here a while." She replied.

Suddenly an alarm rang out and the Octoling quickly turned around. "Those damn Inklings are always attacking now!"

She ran down the corridor. "Wait! Come back! You haven't told me what an inkling is!"
