We once were a great wave;

Crashing to Earth in one final plea.

If I asked of you

one thing...

would you ver give me a second chance?

Oh, and trust me, I do know,

that you should be the one asking that of me...

but I cannot sit by,

and by,

and wonder if you shall reappear.

Because you chose to take the chance you could never get back.

You know what they say,

don't you?

Because you burned a bridge in hopes you may rebuild it...

but you may never build it back up again.

Because we once were a great wave...

but in the end,

I still handed you the fuller cup.
