part 22 Panic

Part 22

Christine was at her panic mode. She's calling Luke ever since lunch time but he never answered. Then she decided texting him, asking about his whereabouts. Polite at first and then transformed to various explicits. The guy's killing her psychologically and emotionally. She also considered checking his assistant but Dianne said that the guy stepped out since ten a.m.

That Tuesday noon, Candy informed her about Luke's insistence on taking Charlie somewhere else. The guy didn't asked her permission first and almost yelled at the poor old lady. Why on earth did the old woman gave Charlie without asking her! But she called again to say sorry because she didn't orient Candy on the things about the father

"Where are you Luke?", she asked the wind. She considered coming to the guy's mansion but decided against it. She's not ready for any hostility. She took a half day to went back to her house at two pm hoping that Luke will materialized with Charlie at hand but to no avail.

"I'm sorry Tin, I didn't know what to do", Candy said teary eyed

"Yes, I'm sorry too Candy for yelling at you, I am panicking!" She said that to the old lady and meant it, only that she can't control her panic voice

"You want to call the police?", Candy tried to offer that solution

"No!", she replied quickly. This is not the time for that, she thought. Her father would have a heart attack if he knew what's happening. Then her mother would be angry as if her mother couldn't be angrier

So she instructed Candy to stay put at the house so the old lady can alert her just in case they appeared at their doorstep and she walked into the park where they first saw each other but they're not there

Christine tried to look at her phone contacts if there's certain person that may help her

"Carl", no he will hunt Luke to kill him

"Frida", no. That dragon will alert everyone

"J", the girl's always restrained by her boss at that time of the day

"Mark?", she thought about it for a second and then her phone vibrated

It's Ms. Candy

"Tin, sweetheart, Charlie is here already. His father dropped him"

"Ok, I'll go back now", she exhaled the biggest blob of air in her lungs and begun to walked as fast as she can, "is Luke still around?"

"No, he just kissed Charlie goodbye and he left in a hurry"

She found Charlie at her living room when she went home. He was playing with two toy figures that seems from from that geeky movie. Charlie relates that his father brought him to a mall. They ate and walked to a toy store.

"This is what I'm afraid of", she thought to herself and running her hands on her hair

A knock stole his concentration that afternoon and his grinning secretary came, "Mr. Roberts, someone outside wants to talk to you she said it's very important?"

He looked at his watch. His next meeting is in two hours and it will last until dinner time.

"I'm leaving in an hour, who is it?"

"It's Ms. Thomas", she said and mouthed 'looking angry'.

He expected that. He took Charlie yesterday without asking her. He can't help it, he's excited to be a father so he decided to take Charlie before his next meeting

"Let her in, don't worry", he stand to face the impact of his impulsive decision yesterday. "Locked the door", he whispered before his assistant fully closed  it. He doesn't want to risk anyone seeing whatever Christine will do to him because of yesterday. Christine's the calm one but, the one who visited him was Christine the mother. A very different one

Christine went inside with a furious eyes. "What came to your mind to steal my child huh?", the girl raged at him instantly before his secretary closed the door

"First, I didn't steal him. He is my son. Second, I dropped him to your house after three hours, what's wrong with that?", he defended

A heavy heels carried the furious lady near him, index finger poking him, "You didn't ask for my permission that's the problem", she hissed . He walked backwards in the process and trapped by his desk

"I returned him, you don't need to be frantic about it!"

"Don't you ever do that again!", Christine threatened

"Or else what? I can't see my son again, because that will never happen Christine", he said

"I can do that, I'm the mother!"

"You know what, let's talk about whatever you did in the past. When you leaked that scandal. What will the juror say about that sign of emotional instability", he retorted

"Yes, that's my mistake", she said in a lower voice, "but that's a mistake!"

"A mistake that spiralled down my credibility overnight"

"That mistake will never happened in the first place if you didn't do that stupid video with another woman!", she said in disgust.

"That video happened before we were married!" He defended, clenching his fist. 

Christine's face registered a shock at the revelation, "You had it before our marriage yet you still had it in your office laptop?" She sighed, "what for? For your viewing pleasure? Remembrance of your affair with that model?"

Luke didn't saw that coming, a debate that was five years overdue. "I forgot that it was there. The IT guys alerted me about it during diagnostics and took it inside with a high level of confidentiality and put it in my desktop for deletion"

"And yet you didn't delete it", Christine said shaking her head. "Did you know that I lost a job because of that 'confidential project'?", she said that last two words with emphasis

"Did you know I was at the middle of the storm? Wifeless?", he asked that on a soft tone

She gasped and maybe realized something, "When was that video taken?"

He looked down his shoes, his eyes stormy, "it's bachelor night"

"You cheated on the eve of our wedding?", she asked with wide eye. "I can't take this", she said and started to turn to walk out of that office

He bolted before he thought about it to run after her and forced the woman to face him, "I'm sorry Tin, I was on high that time because of stag party and she's the first class stripper my stupid friends got me. I'm not proud of it. I owned up my mistake and I banned those guys from my life because of that", he shut his eyes. "I loved you Tin, even if it's too long ago and I will always do"

"Love does not cheat Luke because there's respect. Respect to your partner. Don't embarass yourself", she said while forcing her out of Luke's touch

He keeps on hugging the woman, "Then try me, try me now. I can change, I will be much careful this time." The girl stopped moving other than those deep breaths she did.

He doesn't know what came to his mind to beg but he hugged her more, taking in that pleasant smell of her hair he missed

She looked up to stare at him with those grey eyes. Those pretty eyes that was his source of calmness. He run his left hands to her soft cheeks and decided to kissed her beautiful forehead.

And they finally kissed. That kiss that he thought he will never taste anymore. The kiss turned hungrier that made him held her slender neck. He lifted the girl with his right and the girl instantly hung her legs to his hips.

Crashing of things were heard as he took the woman on his desk. Hands finding the opening of that black dress, he finally found a zipper and forced it down but a tearing of a cloth was heard. One of his buttons flew as well as his ties. They know it was madness, but they can't help to give in as their bodies were desperate to be one
