Christine took her son to her family's manor house that Friday noon. She's not ready to face Luke if he came knocking on her door a day before his promised appearance. What, he'll say sorry again and everything will be okay?

"I thought you're going to Vienna?", she asked Carl as he stands in their manor's kitchen where she's having her caffeine fixed that Saturday morning.

"Ahm, Evan's having a party next next week". His body's facing her but he's looking outside of their house through a tall glass window on her left, hands on his hips and seems tapping one of his feet. He's thinking something else

"So? You're not into partying, I can't understand how you befriend a guy like that"

"Frida's party chick too, yet she's your friend", he defended running his one hand on his hair then pretended to cough. He's really into something

She smiled at the realization and put down her coffee mug, "Are you here to ask me about my crazy friend?"

"Frida? No", he defended quickly

"No, the other crazy friend", she said sarcastically. A phone chimed and she saw Luke's ID. She will never answer that she promised herself

"Well, uhm", silenced again. "I uhm", he sighed, "Ok could you give me her number?"

"Not a chance Carl", she said and looked at her ringing phone again

"Come on, I'm a good guy. You know me, I never dig chicks for play"

"I'm not concern on you hurting her. I'm concern about you getting hurt. You don't know her Carl. She's just being polite last Thursday but she snapped at guys specifically those who showed interest."

Her brother stared at her, palms leaning on the kitchen island. "Maybe it's not the same with me, I'm your brother"

She rolled her eyes in his persistence, "I witnessed her left hook on Frida's date before. We used to extract Frida on her loser or pervert dates. You want  to try that persistence of yours on her? Goodluck"

"Ok, how about telling me her address?"

A the guy's wants to be a stalker now. She's on the process of saying no when her phone rung again with Luke's number glaring at her. "I'm not giving you anything Carl, not even those in Monroe"

"Monroe?", he fished out his phone in his pocket and typed

Uh oh. What did she said?

"Tenth street. Yeah that's why", Carl talking to himself smiling

"You googled her?"

"Nope, just type engineer and Monroe company and it directed me there. That's where I saw her first." He smiled at her, "Thanks sis". He winked and turned walked away

"Carl, don't try your luck!", she yelled

"Luck on what?", Margaret asked her. She didn't realized when her mother entered the kitchen.

She shook her head and pretended to drink her coffee instead of answering

"How's your date with Luke?"

Christine stunned at that question

"You think I didn't know huh, a friend of mine saw you at the restaurant. She sent me the picture. You're wearing a dress from the unknown", her mother said

"Mom, is it right to pry with someone else's date?"

"You're my daughter, you're not just someone else's. And please tell me why are you wearing those cheap layered stuff you look fat!", her mother said
