"YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE." A voice startled Madison. Her heart jumped a little in fright before she turned her head to see Ezra.

She exhaled a sigh as she looked back to The Brew, where Max was inside, "I had to see him."

"It's too dangerous." Ezra told her.

"And seeing you isn't?" Madison rhetorically questioned as she faced her brother, "Thought we were meeting at the usual place."

"I knew you'd be here." He said.

She smiled at him, a proper smile, "You know me too well."

Wednesdays weren't just for going to spy on Max, they were also for visiting Ezra. He knew it was wrong. The first time she escaped and came to see him, he was terrified she'd get arrested.

But he realised he couldn't stop her. Besides, he couldn't exactly visit her in Radley, not with Katherine constantly being around.

Madison glanced back to the building, seeing the cashier handing over a brown bag to Max, "Chocolate cake and a cappucino, he's so predictable."

Ezra rolled his eyes, "Right, enough stalking your lover boy. We need to go somewhere quiet and out of sight of the public."

Madison knew he was right, she couldn't get caught. But she really wanted to watch Max for a while longer, ever since he stopped visiting her, there was a dull pain in her chest all the time.

"Madi..." Ezra took hold of her arm and began to pull her in the direction of the woods.

Madison obeyed, sighing, "Fine."

The young brunette took one last look at the boy in the coffee shop, memorising his features as best she could to last the next week, before following her half-brother towards the woods.

After ten minutes, they were walking through the dark small forest of Rosewood and deep in conversation, "I heard Jenna's not blind anymore. Some eye surgery she had worked."

"How did you hear that?" Ezra asked, "You were with me last Wednesday."

Madison hadn't told him she also left on Fridays to watch the girls. She took in a breath, "Yeah, on my way back I saw the girls at The Grille. They didn't see me, I was careful. I just wanted to see them for a minute."
