Later that day, my mom came home from work.

As she entered the living room, I got up from the couch and greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey, mom!"

"Hi sweetheart. Did you finish your homework?" She asked. Of course that would be the first thing she asks me. It always is.

"Yes." I nodded.

"Okay great. Well since I'm guessing you don't have anything else to do, I was wondering if you could help me out with dinner?"

"Yeah sure."

I strolled over to the grocery bags and started to unload them. As I kept unloading, I realized that my mom had bought a ton of stuff.

I turned to her and asked, "Um, mom? Why did you buy so many groceries? It's only the two of us."

She looked up and said, "Oh yeah that reminds me, I invited the Hemmings over for dinner tonight." She smiles.

I grinned back at her, excited I could spend more time with Luke. Gosh, I was already getting clingy. "Oh okay, sounds great!"

"Well then I guess we've got to get cooking soon. We've got a lot people to feed."

*At dinner*

I sighed as I leaned back on the chair and laid my hands on my stomach.

Liz spoke up, "Maggy, the food was delicious! Thank you so much for inviting us."

My mother smiled and said, "Thank you Liz. You all are welcome to come over anytime."

As soon as everyone finished, they all got up to go to the living room. All except for Luke.

I started to gather the dishes and Luke began to help me. I went over to the sink and began to wash the plates and Luke stood next to me to dry and store them.

After a few minutes of silence, Luke turned to me and asked, "Do you want to go somewhere with me?"

I smirked at him and replied in a mock posh voice, "To where exactly are you thinking of going?"

I was partly hoping he meant to go somewhere with just us two.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to Calum's house?"

Although I admit I was a bit disappointed, I agreed, knowing there wasn't much to do here.

I finished up with the dishes and we both walked to the living room to tell our parents that we were leaving.

"Where are you going exactly?" Asked Liz.

"We're going over to a friend's house. We'll be back in a few hours." Luke replied.

"Alright. Do you want me to take you both?" She asked.

"Actually mum, I was wondering if I could take the car?"

She thought it over for moment, nodded her head, and reached into her bag to retrieve the keys.

She reached out to give it to me and just as we were going to turn to leave, she said, "Both of you be careful out there. Drive safely."

We both nodded our heads, walked out the door, got into the car, and drove off to the house.

Fifteen minutes passed by and just as we were nearing Calum's house, Luke grabbed my phone off the car mount and turned it off.

"Uhh, Luke what do you think you're doing? I kinda need to know where I'm driving."

"I know. Change of plans." He looked over at me and grinned. He placed my phone back on the mount but this time with different directions to an unknown location.
