When I woke up, Cash was still asleep. I noticed that my phone had been placed on the nightstand and plugged in. I picked it up to see four unread messages. All of which are from Maverick.
Cash?
-MaverickCash?
-MaverickCome on, Cash!
-MaverickYou've got to be fucking kidding me.
-MaverickI unlocked my phone, instantly meeting eyes with the messages between Cash and Maverick last night.
Hey, I'm staying at Raine's for the night. This is Cash by the way.
-RaineCash, we fucking talked about this. I told you to stay away.
-MaverickI'm sorry, Mav, but I can't. You should've seen her. She looked so broken as she sat on her roof.
-RaineShe's only going to get you in trouble. Raine isn't a good person. Not anymore.
-MaverickI don't care, Maverick. I do care about her and that isn't going to change. Goodnight.
-RaineAnd then the four last messages were there as well. My stomach twisted, part of me knowing that Maverick is right. I'm not a good person. I don't deserve Cash and Cash deserves someone better than me. I closed my eyes, refusing to let my tears fall. I reread the messages until someone jerked my phone out of my hand.
"Stop." Cash's voice is harsh and unnerving.
"Stop what?" I asked innocently.
"Stop agreeing with him." I swallowed. Cash pulled me under his body. He's now straddling me and holding my arms hostage as he sits on my legs. "You're so much better than he says you are."
"No, I'm not." I whispered.
"I don't want to fucking hear it, Raine." Cash growled. "I refuse to let you believe that." The determination in his face made my heart flutter. I broke my arms free then wrapped my arms around his neck. I softly kissed his lips. One of his hands rested on my back, touching my bare skin. I shivered from the electric touch. And just like that, things got a bit more heated. Neither of us lost any of our clothes, but the want is there. Cash bit my bottom lip, tugging on it. I moved one of my hands to his cheek. He reached up and grabbed my arm. The fun ended right there for I hissed in pain. Cash released my arm, muttering apology after apology as I spat out every profanity I know. Cash got off me and ran to the bathroom. He returned with a first aid kit. "Who in this house knows first aid?"
"All of us." I hissed out. My eyes scrunched together as I fought off the pain. Cash ran out of my room, pounding on the first door he found. Moments later, I felt someone grab my hand. I opened my eyes to see Cash holding my hand to his chest as Asher carefully unraveled my wrap. I took deep breaths to calm myself down.
"Damnit, Raine, you reopened the damn things." Asher hissed. My breathing picked up again. "Cash, I've got her arm just make her calm down." Cash released my arm then walked around my brother and crawled into bed with me.
"Hey, look at me." He whispered. I did as told. "What calms you down?" I shook my head, unable to speak from how much I'm shaking. Cash bit his lip.
"Just kiss her." Asher told him. "Kiss her, touch her, fuck her. Just make her relax." Cash shook his head, clearly searching for an idea. Suddenly, his eyed lit up widely and started singing.
Oh, her eyes, her eyes make the stars look like they're not shinin'
Her hair, her hair falls perfectly without her trying
She's so beautiful and I tell her everyday
Yeah, I know, I know when I compliment her she won't believe me
And it's so, it's so sad to think that she don't see what I see
But every time she asks me "Do I look okay?"
I sayWhen I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change 'cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause girl you're amazing
Just the way you are
YeahHer lips, her lips, I could kiss them all day if she'd let me
Her laugh, her laugh she hates but I think it's so sexy
She's so beautiful, and I tell her everydayOh you know, you know, you know I'd never ask you to change
If perfect's what you're searching for then just stay the same
So don't even bother asking if you look okay, you know I'll sayWhen I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, girl, you're amazing
Just the way you areThe way you are
The way you are
Girl, you're amazing
Just the way you areWhen I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, girl, you're amazing
Just the way you areYeah
By the time Asher finished, Cash had finished singing Bruno Mars' Just the Way You Are. I smiled weakly, my whole body weak. Cash smiled back then cleared his throat.
"You're all fixed up, Sis." Asher whispered. "Try not to open the wound again." I weakly nodded. Asher kissed my forehead. Cash thanked him before he left.
"Hey, I should probably go." Cash whispered to me, guilt written on his face and swarming in his eyes.
"It's okay." I whispered. "Your family should come first. Especially after what your mother has gone through. I give you the okay to explain everything to her."
"Can you do that?" Cash asked. I nodded my head. Cash gave me a gentle kiss on the lips then left.
That's part seven! I hope you enjoyed reading it!

Love.
