YOU CAN'T PROTECT EVERYONE.
BUT YOU HAVE TO TRY.

"NOVA! HAVE YOU seen O?" Bellamy asked, when he saw her walking back to her tent later that night. Nova turned around to face him, shaking her head.

"No. I was looking for her earlier, but I couldn't find her." Nova said, then had a wave of worry wash over her. "Have you checked her tent?"

"I've checked the whole camp. She isn't here." Bellamy said, the worry evident on his face, too. "Clarke's looking for her, now. She's searching the camp again."

"Okay, we'll find her. She probably went for a walk, she could be back soon." Nova said, even though she didn't believe it herself.

"I can't find her." Clarke said, walking up to the two of them. "I searched everywhere. She's not here." That was all Bellamy needed to hear before waking up the camp and sending a search party out.

"My sister has been out there alone for God knows how long! Head out! No coming back without her!" The people started to gear up and out, but before any of them could get to the gate, one of the delinquents yelled out.

"Look up!" They yelled. Nova glanced up to the sky to see what looked like shooting stars falling down to the ground, but something inside Nova told her that wasn't it. There was too many. "What is that?"

"They didn't work. They didn't see the flares." Raven spoke up. Nova knew exactly what she mean't. That was the people who had given their lives to save air on the Ark falling down to the Ground. That was their bodies.

"A meteor shower tells you that?" Bellamy asked, the same look on his face that was on Nova's.

"It's not a meteor shower. It's a funeral. That's hundreds of bodies being returned to the ground from the Ark. This is what it looks like from the other side." Clarke said, shaking her head. "They didn't get our message." Bellamy looked down to the ground in shame, running a frustrated hand through her hair.

"This is on you!" Raven said, pushing past Clarke and Finn. "Both of you!" Raven yelled again, looking over to Nova. Nova kept her eyes adverted to the ground, not willing herself to look into any of the delinquents sad, pitiful eyes, because she knew that at least one of their family members was dead because of her. She couldn't look at them right now.

"We helped you find the radio!" Bellamy said, sticking up for the two of them.

"Yeah, after you stole it from my pod and trashed it!" Raven said, being held back by Clarke and Finn.
