The Saving of Lance

          The next morning the team gathered in the docking pad, where the pods were kept, waiting for the oldest Holt sibling to exit his pod. Matt was sent by the garrison and his mom, one to get a detailed status report and two to check on Katie. Since most of the remaining galra generals were underground or have already joined the correlation there wasn't much to report on. That being said Matt also announced he would be the garrisons' representative from now on and is also taking over all communications with the team to Earth since Iverson was arrested for sexual abuse of a minor, rape, sexual harassment, and discrimination. The team outside of Keith and Shiro were confused as to how he was arrested and why their dating trio looked relieved. Matt then explained farther that one claim from a former student leads to more victims coming forward and that 20 witnesses including himself would be testifying against him next month. Pidge lost it asking what happened and threatened to kill her former teacher, but Matt simply smacked her on the back of the head and told her to chill because he was just a character witness to some of the victims. Everyone in the room let out a relieved sigh at that before saying that the hope the rapist gets the death penalty. The team all hugged Matt and thanked him, mostly for taking over but Lance's eyes were a little moist and hugged a little harder and longer than the others. After that Pidge chased them out so the could have "Science sibling time", She pulled Hunk down for a kiss quickly before dragging Matt to the lab.

      Matt jumps on the sofa bed, a present from Shiro since he couldn't stop her from pulling all-nighters. Pidge pulled her spinny chair over, "So got any tea that needs to be caught", she smirked while grabbing her coffee cup. The older Holt laughed at his sisters' antics," Nope life's been boring on Earth other than Knotheads thinking they're smarter than me", He said with a shrug. Pidge took a sip of her coffee," Fools don't they realize that Holt intelligence trumps dynamic and gender stereotypes", She high fived her brother as they both nodded in agreement. The pair laid back on the bed with their hands behind their heads, each took a minute to enjoy the other presence. Matt looked over to Pidge with a serious expression," I'm happy that you and Hunk are together finally but how are you doing I can smell that your hormones have changed you better not be pregnant Katie", Pidge looked over startled. It was silent for a minute," I'm not pregnant we just started dating a week or so ago and how can you tell and not Lance", Matt rolled his eyes. He then rolled onto his side to look at her better," I had to ask and Lances' senses are still dulled from suppressant use it will take a month or so before they completely return and whats the change", Pidge flinched and looked down. 

      Katie signed before answering," I've been feeling weird lately so I scanned myself", she paused as if she was scared to say it out loud," My hormones are changing meaning I'll be presenting soon". She pulled her knees to her chest making herself as small possible thinking for a moment that if she's small enough she can hide from her problems. The room was silent for a minute before the door opened surprising the siblings. 

     "What's shaking gremlin siblings", and in walk Lance. Quickly though the air in the room seemed to lessen and Pidge let out a breath of relief. Matt stood up and walked quickly over to Lance before dragging back to the bed and sitting both of them down. Lance looked confused for a minute," What did I miss", Pidge's eyes widen and Matt opens his mouth before she can stop him. "Katie is presenting soon and didn't tell anyone", Pidge curled up on herself while Lance sat there in shock. The room fell silent for all of .5 seconds before, " WHY DID YOU TELL ME OR AT LEAST HUNK DAMN KATIE THEY ONLY ONE ALLOWED TO BE ANGSTY HERE IS KEITH", Pidge and Matt flinched only to bust out laughing.

     Once the laughter quieted down Lance walked over and hugged Katie " I know it's scary and your probably worried about how hunk will react but we are always here for you Katie and Hunk will always love you. Matt joined the group hug and they all sat there for a while so Pidge could have a good cry.

     Pidge soon fell asleep between the two omegas, Matt carefully laid her down while Lance walked over and sat on the floor next to a video game console. Soon joined by Matt's atmosphere of the room soon become serious. " How much time does she have before she presents" Lance spoke in a soft tone and Matt answered," Considering how much her scent has changed I'd give her a week tops, dammit we should have tested her last time she was on Earth", Lance signed. " What's done is done but we need to prepare because if her hormones have changed that much she's not going to present as a beta most likely"

   Something still bugged the oldest Holt," What will Hunk do," Lance agitated at him. "This is Hunk we're talking about his heart is bigger than the galaxy, he'll love her no matter what they might just have to work out some kinks", Matt laughed but shook his head in agreement. Lance looked over at Matt with a smile on his face," Thank you, Matt, for all you've done your amazing", the other omega threw his arm around Lance," Don't thank me Lance just relax and be happy for awhile we can talk about this later". The Cuban listen to Matt and well if they played Mario cart and talked about a certain alpha pair together for the rest of the afternoon, no one needed to know.
